Yesterday with my team trailing 1-0 the manager turned to me and said warm up with 7 mins plus added time left. To put this in some context I'm only returning from injury and hadn't taken part in any sprint training during the week. So my response to being told warm up was yeah right and I proceeded to have a cig (kindly donated by an injured team mate who didnt even tog off). Now here's the real dilemma, our next match is on Saturday 3pm k.o., If I turn up I'm banker to start but that means missing the reds vs man u as the game is away, an hour drive to the ground have to be there an hour before ko etc. What would my fellow redmen do in this situation ? as not turning up will only exacerbate the refusing to come on yesterday
You can try the BBQ suggestion from another thread earlier. Depends if you fancy being able to **** through the eye of a needle for the next few days.
Be a professional, man-up and play you ****ing fanny. I would personally not turn up and say my goldfish had died or some similar excellent excuse. You should also quit smoking... I'm on 20 a day
first off by the time I would have warmed up itd be down to 5 mins left, get the ref <he was worse than webb> attention , then come on try get up to tempo and final whistle ......**** that, the cig was lovely
The eternal dilema - am I good or am I bad? As the old song says: "I don't know if I'm a good man - but I would be if I could" Now what that has to do with your situation Hash I've no idea!
I think it means **** going to the match and head to the pub on the piss for the united game ...thanks dave an inspiration to all you are
yuo see what you made the mistake of doing here was not thinking ahead. same as tevez. Bascially if you didn't want to play you should have FAKED another injury.... the minute your manager said warm up you should have gone jogging down the sideline then faked a pulled whatever it is you had injury to (eg hammy) In fact you've probably got training this week so i would turn up for everything... early. give your all then 10mins before the end fot he last session fake that injury.... thus making it look like you put the effort in. thereby you could hve bunked off training and this inconvient match away.... simple.
well glen johnson has avoided that tag so your previous history should count for soemthing. A reoccurance of an injury is not uncommon after all.... OR even better a "minor" niggle in another area like a calf strain is a lovely excuse too.
its my quadricep :-( and i reckon somehow around 8.22pm next thursday , hash will be going down in a heap
