I was expecting a well balanced comment and debate here, people with second agendas can ruin a thread instantaneously. I would never refer to a driver as an animal, all of them have my respect. Some of them older or faster than others. Some of them having problems on the track at the moment. But you have hit a new low. I congratulate you. Back on the ignore list then eh.
please log in to view this image Sorry Manny, sometimes I just can't take what you say too seriously as it is so petty.
You called him a dog, not me! As for the ignore list thing; Manny, do you really think I care about being ignored? When someone told me you were ignoring me, I took it as a compliment! But seriously: please don't be offended. I don't mind what you say whilst you're being polite. In many ways, you are a great example to some members who could not control themselves and were eventually (quite rightly in my view) banned. And in spite of our differences of opinion about a dog (top or bottom), I think you are a worthy and valuable member of the forum.
If we are talking about dogs, the Mercedes car is the biggest one. Last year was understandable, but a team with their resources and personnel really should have built a car that could at worst deliver a few podiums this time around. Bringing it back to this discussion, it is Schumacher who has come closest to putting it there this year.
I don't understand the appeal about Nico Rosberg. He seems to be regressing this year, and that coupled with a weird partial return to form for schumacher, is making his stock fall even further in my book.
Don't know where you're getting the idea that Nico is faster in the races than Michael lately. Since the summer Michael has on the very large part shown greater consistency of speed in races setting faster lap times and generally showing a greater skill in wheel to wheel driving as well, attacking well and defending well too. Yes he is still slower in quali trim but not in race trim. That has very much swung in the way of Michael in the second half of this season.
Now Michael has finally found his legs once again, he seems to have well and trully got the better of Rosberg, certainly in race trim now. I believe the only reason Rosberg has been quicker in qualifying is purely down to set up of the cars. Michael is obviously thinking more of the race, and as such is compromising the cars one lap pace, but gaining the advantage during the race itself. After all there are no points to be won on Saturday! Michaels racecraft at times has been brilliant this year, although there have been a couple of dodgy decisions by him at times, Rosberg doesnt seem to have the skill and determination or racing ability to drag the Mercedes up the field, and at times seems more interested at how pretty he looks in the paddock! Overall Schumacher is without doubt Top Dog in the Mercedes team and will be the driver to ultimately put the Silver Arrows back on top of the podium.
Seems now that Schumachers form is on the up people who were able to contain their hate for the man as he floundered at the start of his comeback can do so no longer.
I agree. Ignoring retirements, yesterday is one of the only times since Canada where I felt that Nico was the better Mercedes driver on Sunday.
