Heard a stat (many years ago) that no two countries with a Mc D in them had ever gone to war with each other (turned out to be true at the time) <laugh>

yeah, I grew up in the 70's, first present I can remember getting is an Apollo 11 rocket. It's sad that we kinda got to the moon then seemed to give up for a few decades. I'm interested in what we'll do next tbh, as we've found water on the moon and Mars at their the poles, the next step would be putting a base there, we have the technology to make fuel from it.
Consider how chock full of resources the solar system is, lots of money to be made there.
Because we're having WW3 in a few years?

Yeah winds. It was those winds and a dust storm that killed off the very first rover to Mars. Covered it's solar panels causing it to die back in 2018 I think.

It's dusty, don't know about windy, we wouldn't really be able to feel it. It's more a case of very low atmospheric pressure, and 1/3rd of a G gravity making the dust and sand easier to move.

This is the problem, by the time NASA get the pictures it's already happened, so can't do anything in real time to change a course of events, such as its landing.
