    my first thought was his meds but suppose could be a stroke . thinking about it could be using voice recognition hence the "High" instead of "hi" but if so pretty slurred in first post which could be either .
    in other words Dr Solid ain't got a scooby as stroke covers a multitude of effects from a TIA to a massive haemorrhage .

    I don't know what Larry's medical situation was before he disappeared. So hard to tell but hadn't thought of the voice recognition thing. <ok>

    HAIG used it, explains a lot when you think about it.

    Buy the most expensive one you can find then put a shot in a glass with half a can of Coke to make it not taste terrible.

    I’ve always liked a single malt, I’m no expert but I know what I like, and once you get the taste the variation and contrast makes it an extremely interesting tipple. From the peaty Irish or way North brands to the Sherry cask numbers. I’m a difficult bloke to buy for and so all my family know to buy me a single malt for a pressie as I’ll be sound with it. The one I’m drinking tonight was one I bought with a voucher for my birthday (partly lol) and I think it’s the most balanced and drinkable whisky I’ve ever had tbh.

    I'm interested in trying a good bottle but I really need to try before buying, I've tried the usual pub stuff and the stuff that's a little better but never had the expensive stuff. I jumped in with rum and loved it so I'm hoping it'll be a similar experience.

    I've got a bottle of Woodford Reserve which is in the middle stuff, perhaps it'll sway me.

    Not sure it would be tbf.

    You don't **** about with a decent malt, there's no coke or ginger beer.

    Straight, single cube of ice, or miniscule drop of water. That's it.

    I would very much recommend Talisker as a start point.

    <ok>

    It’s all about personal taste rather than just price with whisky imo mate. Not always a case of you get what you pay for in my experience. There’s plenty of good review sites around these days and I tend to find they’re a good gauge of what to have a go at when it comes to the smaller distilleries.

    I always read up on stuff as it interests me, will be a while as I'm stocked but may well look at a good bottle next time I buy.
