The Shire Of The Warks
Have seen a few remarks recently about the number of non-qpr, off-topic threads on the board.

Just thought i'd start a new nostalgia thread, whereby i sporadically post up pictures of Hoops past and present, see who can name the player first and then anybody can weigh in with their thoughts about said player.

Some will be well known R's stars, some may only have played a handful of games.

Love them, loathe them or just cannot remember them as they were totally nondescript, tell us your memories here. (or indeed, post videos).

This could work or it could sag and die like one of Kanes crosses.... Lets see.

First off......

'Tis Jan The Man Stejskal.

Was a pretty good keeper if memory serves correctly.

Stejskal was a top keeper. He replaced Seaman when he left for Arsenal in 1990, so he had huge gloves to fill. He was with us for four years ( 90 - 94 ) which was a great period for the R's. He played in the first premier league season ( 1992 ) and was one of only 13 foreigners to do so in its opening weekend. When I worked at the club in the late 90's as a stadium fire officer, I would often see Jan return to see us play and was always held in great esteem by all involved at QPR.
