Is he likely to give Llorente a few run outs with the U23s first?

Sad news today as Kalvin Phillips Granny Val has passed on.

Could she be one of the most important non playing/non club employed people in Leeds Utd history? Her influence helped Phillips turn down Villa in the summer of 2019 which probably led to Bielsa staying. The rest is history as they say.

    RIP Granny Val

You made me laugh there. Why should social media platforms be responsible for those who use it, & what they use it for? It's like saying that anyone who manufactures writing pads or pens should be responsible for everything written. Pure nonsense. I've always felt that, & laugh when FB etc. try to make efforts to implement something. Why should they, simply based people mis-using their product? Should the makers of addictive painkillers be held to account for mis-use & addiction? Should producers of alcohol be responsible for the myriad crimes mostly due to alcohol mis-use? No to all of them. So why should the providers of social media be responsible for people's failings when every other provider of mis-used products isn't?

because of covid its a buyers market now, as a lot of European clubs have to survive on a lot less than the PL, consequently i suggest there will be a lot of bargains to be had for a shrewd negotiator, and i agree about the academy however, for the short term to succeed further we have to strengthen from abroad until the academy players are up to scratch

After the cock up of last week we wouldn't have done any worse in the first half than the mess we saw if an U23 had been played instead of the mass changes we had. We were carrying half a dozen players when worst case we would have carried one if one of the kids had not done a job.

i think your missing the point mate, Facebook and Twitter use that excuse of hate speech for their own good, as being far left they can ban the conservative voices and blame hate speech yet Iran Pakistan and China can print hate about killing people and yet the President of the US was banned for making a speech, if it was wasn't partisan it would have remove Kameltoe Harris speech about giving money to get rioters and looter bail and to fight against their prosecution

As you say couldn't have done any worse, but with a few European buys could have done a lot better ,its all a matter of views mate, i agree whole heartedly with bringing academy players on, but it does take a long time to get them up to the standard required for this league, as we have both heard the fans opinions when we lose everyone is slated, consequently in my view we needed a stop gap of of quality players till academy players are up to scratch.

Nope, you're missing my point. No platform should be doing any banning at all, based on whatever is posted. We have authorities who deal with the examples I've mentioned, so why should social media be the only exception? Before we know it, they'll be stopping emails for the slightest thing. Imagine your post / email or whatever on the next match was chopped because a robot didn't understand when you wrote 'we are going to murder them'.

The worst piece of shyte going, you give up your "human rights" in my eyes if you commit a crime as vile as what these pieces of trash did to murder and then try to burn the boy's body a young innocent schoolboy who was picked out just because he was white...evil filth

Still plenty on here saying some players like Tyler Roberts are still developing. I agree and also agree that some kids develop late and many more never make it. However Mappe 22 and Haaland 20 prove the point that to be a good player you need to get a chance and the above couple of players were on the pitch at 16 and 17yo. Man Utd played another 18yo tonight thats quite a few kids given a chance. Man City are playing 16, 17 and 18yo and they look like being league champions. So Greenwood Gelhardt and Huggins really need to get some minutes as these 3 are already 19yo. Clarke, Stevens, Gottshave had a go and failed the initial test. Shaks is hanging around still and Struijk has actually made it at 20yo?

Pretty much agree apart from Gotts. There are possibilities for him. I've not given up on him yet! :D

If we dont find out about these kids I can guarantee as soon as we bring in 4 new signings in the Summer we will lose these to other Prem clubs. By hecking them out now we may only need to spend half the money we were going tomspend?

At the risk of causing an outbreak of football chat on this thread, whilst I agree with you about the wholesale shift of positions, unfortunately we have no one else in the squad able to replicate the way KP plays. We lose that cohesion whoever goes into that role. He really is the fulcrum for how we play.
