I'd say we need to stop obsessing over other teams' results when we have 17 games of our own left. It feels way, way too soon in the season to be checking the table religiously.

I don't obsess over other teams form.I'm pointing out that there are numerous others on here who 'bang on' about Points Per Game and games in hand!!

Not me,I want us to win our games. If we do that,it matters not what other teams do.

I’d just like to point out, once again we were out possessed, luckily tonight we scored. It could have been very different if they’d scored just before we did.
However, they didn’t & we scored 5. So possession means sod all, but in the PL I could accept games like that, as we were playing at a much higher level. At L1 level, I do expect better possession stats.
This got me thinking though, is this McCann’s tactics? Just about every game we are out possessed, & we do try to lure teams in & catch them on a quick breakaway. The last few games haven’t had the speedy breakaway needed unlike tonight though.

I'm a big fan of the 2 points per game template. There. I said it.

Tactics, on the other hand, are for silly ****s who watch Sky too much and have been suckered in.

Does their keeper picking the ball out of the net and them kicking off count as possession?

4 points from next 2 I'll be happy.

Donny need 2 points a game from their 3 in hand to go above us so unlike the bed wettters I won't be panicking if we don't win on Saturday.

Absolutely agree with the 2 points per game.We could do with going on a mini run and trying to get back near it..

Tactics don't dictate the game to me,hard work and rolling up your sleeves wins matches!!

It's the space in behind. Home teams come at us more which plays into the hands of the wide forwards.

9 defeats leaves me uneasy, no teams in the leading group have been been beaten as often.

Need to get a 6 or 7 game winning streak to assert our dominance of this tin pot league again.

I totally agree especially when we couldn't win our own games.
But, it is only natural to want our rivals to fail in every game because it supposedly makes it easier for us to succeed.
Defend from the front in the next 17 games and autos should be achieved.
Let's just enjoy the moment until 3pm Satdee.

We don't draw many. 1 win and 2 losses in 3 games gets the same points on the board as 3 draws unbeaten.

There's always one. A great win just when they needed it but in my opinion that was the weakest team they've played all season so I wouldn't get too carried away. Donny on Saturday won't allow them the space they had tonight. Some good individual performances won the match and as usual you can never fault the effort. For me, Portsmouth away was a more impressive win. I said at the start of the season they'll go up, I'll stick with that, but expect a bumpy road ahead.

Whos getting carried away? We were the weakest team in the league carrying players who'd downed tools last time we went there.

I think we're just celebratingg the fact that tonight was oh, so different!

There's nothing wrong with this team, in this league. They just need a bit of support..

They played for each other as opposed to being dogged by expectation trying to win the game by themselves.

The biggest concern I have is the fact that some of our 'supporters' are not reacting with anything but joy at a goal and assist each for the forward line and a hatrick for a 21 year old after a couple of weeks without a goal.

Donny need to be respected, but play like we did tonight, last weekend and against Lincoln, we'd likely not loose. And that will be fine by me..
