Don't worry – he'll break his specs trying to push them into a cashpoint card slot before too long.

What does McCann know about Coyle/Emmanuel that we don't? I know none of us on here are football managers but surely we can't all be wrong about this?

Coyle plays instead of Emmanuel again. No logic in that decision to me either. It's not in McCanns nature to be stubborn is it?

The only reason is Emmanuel has the same clause in his contract that KLP had

Hi just a thought but in my humble opinion Emanuel was getting caught in passion in the corner and kept trying to dribble out , a couple of matches in a row spotted by the the opposition manager I would guess and he’s not the quickest in tight spaces
Trouble is Coyle is in for his energy I think but he gets caught out of position so we are between a rock and a hard place with them .
I like Emmanuel at the other end of the pitch and he’s strong when attacking

I agree, they both have their faults. I just think Emmanuel recovers better if he gets caught out and his link up play down the right side gives us more in attack.

Well clearly it doesn't give more of the same as that's the midfield and forward line that was flying until fairly recently.

I'd have had Emmanuel in, but agree with Jones for Crowley, Ingram keeping Long out and don't see any fit alternative to the current front 3.

It's just that we won a lot more games with Emmanuel at rb than with Coyle. Emmanuel was working well with Wilks, Coyle doesn't.

    Think I meant possession!!
Agreed we were more consistent when Wilks on the right and Emanuel behind him - we'll see

We’ve all had the problem of being caught in passion! Doesn’t make him a bad person!
