Absolute rot. I'm 100% certain you'd have been telling us that survival each season would see us sold, that hasn't happened 12 times in 14 years vs the 2 times we haven't been sold after relegation!

Last two relegations Ashley was not bothered about getting out. The club had no deep debt, it was something he could just about afford. He's utterly ****ed this time. There's no crowd to buoy the accounts, there's no players to make good money from, and we're still - ridiculously - £110m in debt to that fat ****ing moron. He is now ready to leave for whatever reason (cashflow issues across retail most likely). With zero evidence, I admit, it's my belief that he's simply made a bet (he loves a gamble) with prospective buyers of basically saying I'm going to strip it back, spend nothing, do nothing and if it survives the price is £300m. If it goes down, that's on me, I'm not funding a Champ campaign because the debt is already at it's highest point, so I'll sell for £150m.

Staveley, of Yorkshire, has said numerous times about the potential of Newcastle which doesn't diminish if it goes down one or even two divisions. Man City were League One, so were Leicester, Villa were really poor. We have a global fanbase, infrastructure, history, reputation, stadium, etc. We really are the last big club not under proper ownership. Investors will be watching and hoping the club goes down, as am I. Financially, it makes more sense for us to go down and even if we don't change hands, I don't want Mike Ashley trousering £300m for the amount of **** he's put us through.

I'm glad we're ****. I'm glad Wilson's injured and Bruce is in charge. I'm glad Fulham are better. I will celebrate relegation with the same joy I celebrated surviving it vs West Ham. Somehow this is an end game and I don't think we'll have Ashley/Charnley overseeing a Championship, or Premiership, season again. I think we're much more likely to move on by going down and by God the fat man deserves nothing less.

That's not correct it was 250 million in the squad over 5 years plus investment in the facilities, the stadium, the city and everything else.

Wanting to go down is ridiculous.

But he appears to think that there will be a club that will argue it.

Again could be completely coincidental. Though there are many of these little coincidences over last few weeks.

Indeed I mean he's interested in all that stuff, so I'd imagine he'd like it regardless, but there's definitely a little tease in that from slater.

I'm hoping the Saudis are so pissed off that they're now attempting to crash the gate of the big six and bulldoze right over the top of them
