Don’t know much about Richard smales, but has travelled around a lot career wise recently. Considering the comms, not expecting any serious competition with Barcelona in the medium term, or with north ferriby...
This is another Hull United/North Ferriby/East Hull FC/Jamie Waltham ego trip. I only saw his Hull United play once after he sent me a free life time season pass. He was having a go and I cannot knock him for that. He was manning the gate himself and introducing himself to everyone. Basically he was/is trying to float a club on the back of those who were boycotting City, I suppose copying the FC of Manchester idea. Which to me is wanting and expecting to take support off Hull City so he will never get my full support. This was at Dene Park, Hall Road Rangers old ground. Nice little set up though with the clubhouse but it's the idea that I'm not happy with. There were maybe 100 there, mostly the type of 'fan' you wouldn't want to spend the time of day with, the usual fat blokes in Premier League manager coats, especially Liverpool and Arsenal, the same sporting bobble hats with the usual PL suspect's badges, a splattering if FC and HKR hats/coats, saw one lad in a City shirt and few dog walkers. I'd left before full time. Nothing to see there. This Waltham character is obviously a football man so why isn't he getting involved with City in some capacity ?
I think professional football clubs have a limit of two ****s per club, so unfortunately, there's no spare capacity.
Good point. There are other ways someone could get involved instead of throwing money at lost causes.
That is going to limit the involvement of people on here if any plans for fan ownership come about then.
Apparently there was a brilliant, professionally made video, but someone stole it. [EDIT: Thought I'd better add a link in case the reference was too obscure: https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/east-hull-fc-jamie-waltham-3776507 ]
Well no, not at all. If someone wants to back me financially, I have this club in my heart and in my blood. Any takers?
