what's the best plan for parking next weekend? I ve heard parking is more of a bitch than the Withdean. Attention moderators: how do i dual post this on the Brighton board?
Under the article header, you've got a box with all the clubs in, so you can pick another clubs board to make the thread appear on. As far as I know, there's no parking at all at the ground, so you're going to have to dump the motor in Brighton and get a cab/bus/long walk to the ground. I'm staying over, so I'll just get a cab from the hotel.
you can pre-book what space is left @ the ground (if any) especially if you have are a disabled badgeholder. i myself will park at the uni car park which is where the fun will be. lol, all those students eh ? lol grrrrrrrr
thats what i thought. but was told that the ko had been changed to allow that car park to be used. if however you are correct olm then i have plan B to fall back on.
apparently space left at the ground and its only £15 per car. Yes that's one five pounds!!!! the words rip-off and fleece spring to mind!! £1.50 for a bus ticket per person and of course, £2 administration fee. All of a sudden, Brighton have risen up to levels of Barnsley and Leeds in the rip-off stakes. The most I have paid for ground parking to date is £8 at Reading. A new record.
so it appears. £5 is still the most ive had to pay for parking and that was @ bristol city and doncaster of late. no way shall i pay £15 but if i ever did i would want my nails buffing - transportation to my seat and a free pie.
Hopefully helpful details for park and ride, guy at Brighton recommend this to me and for the few of us traveling by car he says the best way to do it, although he stressed to get there a s a p on Saturday. I asked about parking at the ground and there is none avaliable . The park and ride postcodes to help us tiger fans are mill road bn1 8zf closest to the ground but will be busy ,Lewes road bn2 4at and Brighton race coarse bn2 9xz bear in mind you have to purchase a park and ride ticket in advance, I tried to do this via hull ticket office when I purchased my tickets but you can only do it over the counter at our ticket office so was not much good to me living in Kent, phoned up Brighton fc and they did it for me over the phone with a small admin charge, the guy on the phone said over 1300 tickets have sold, so hopefully will be a good atmosphere.
my plan B is to use the free travel tickets for the train or park and ride buses that arrived with the match tickets.
No dont do that. I am thinking of doing that so I dont want lots of others doing it as well cos it will make me later back and my lad is up for sunday football .
My brother in law lives in Lewes is about 10 mins on train but he reckons it will be a nightmare. But to be fair I think with everything that is going on that day, any form of transport will be a nightmare
I might have a job getting the missus and Lambretta junior on the back of the Lambretta and as I just pointed on CI(when the same suggestion was made), it's not allowed out in the rain.
