I noticed that SL said that he was going to be totally honest with us which leads me to thinking that all of his previous statements were a load of rubbish. When he finally came down from his lofty perch to grace us with the thought of action he is talking about staying in this division. The time for that you idiot should have been when you finally fired Lee and not after you hired Dean and put his head in the noose. Stop spouting your continual drivel and treating the supporters like morons as it only goes to prove that yet again you will certainly make another lousy choice for manager and expect the paying public to ante up their money to watch total dross.

It would appear to me that having a manager who actually knows what they are about and how to achieve success is not on your criteria for hiring the next victim. Do us all a favour and step on Ashton's toes to eliminate him from future employment with your club, that is unless he is deemed to be some icon on steroids.

Hopefully this is the last we see of this disastrous management team.

Apparently Robins TV ended broadcasting straight after final whistle. No match analysis?

If we have to rely on those full backs and those midfielders we are truly ****ed.

I am sure that some will criticise the strikers but ask yourself, how many chances did they miss? in fact how many chances have they missed all season?

    SL has got to act.
I agree but do you honestly think it will change anything? they will replace him with another no mark (pun intended) poodle.

I will put a few bob on Tinnion, it's the sort of dumb arsed appointment that in their tiny minds will bring the fans onside and when he gets sacked that will impact on the academy.

The club is dysfunctional but two people cannot see it.

This was exactly what I thought, bet they turn to Tinnion until the end of the season. It’s such a typical BCFC move. After what happened to him last time, I fully expect Tinnion would turn them down.

Still no sign of Dean Holden out yet. Players who were warming down have all been called in just now. #BristolCity

Yep he's gone. Michelle Owen saying announcement imminent. Holden seems a top man, feel for him but it's the right decision. I wonder who's next.

Now official - Dean Holden sacked by #BristolCity following tonight’s defeat to Reading. Downing and Simpson in temporary charge. The club can’t afford to take six weeks to appoint the next man.

    Club statement
    Tuesday, February 16th 2021

Dean Holden has been relieved of his duties with immediate effect.

Following a sixth successive defeat, the Bristol City Board have decided that a change of Head Coach is necessary.

Assistant Head Coaches Paul Simpson and Keith Downing will take charge of training until further notice.

The club would like to thank Dean for his service to the club over the years and we wish him well for the future.

There will be no further comment at this stage.

Come on, they have got to give the impression that they are interviewing a huge list applicants with a pedigree, before giving it to Simpson.

If our history is anything to go by then don't expect miracles or anything even close. Howe and Tindall back as a team would suit me fine but I won't hold my breath for an announcement any time soon, and when it comes it will almost certainly be seriously underwhelming. The time is now for SL to make a critical decision so let's just hope it's the right one this time out.

3 shots on target in the last 3 games, no goals scored and 10 conceded. It couldn't continue.
Now let's see your real ambition Mr Smug and co. and who you appoint next.

I've said before (and got shot down for it) that the club should already have a shortlist.
It's called 'being prepared' and is only the same as an employee keeping his/her CV up to date - doesn't mean they are actively LOOKING for a job, but they need to be able to move fast if they lose the current one.
