    This better not be serious. He is on fire at the moment.

    Things are threatening to **** up at the moment with possible injuries to Cabaye and Ba. Here's hoping we will be okay if neither can play on Sunday!

    If it was serious I doubt he would have linked up with the Senegal squad at all. Im confident both Ba and Cabaye will be fit for spuds!!!

    That's a positive, but if it is a recurrence of his knee injury, then he could be out for a long time.

    And cheers UlversToon, you have brightened up my day <laugh>

  6. Lets take the word of the ****ing player over stupid ****ing websites <doh>

    Cabaye said "I'll be fit for Spurs", "I was worried about my leg and so i asked to come off".

    All the local papers have said "relief for Newcastle as injury to Cabaye is only a minor knock".

    Alright calm down! Cabaye also said that he fears it may be ligament damage. I don't know if you have ever had ligament damage to your ankle, but it can take up to six weeks to recover from. Obviously it is pointing to him being back for the Spurs game, but it is a concern when two of our star players may be injured.

    My impression is that Ba has effectively chosen club oveer country by pleading his old knee injury to get out two matches where they don't need him. I expect he'll make a miraculous recovery about the time of the final whistle

  9. Well it can't be that bad as he's most likely going to be playing tomorrow for France. Just saying.

    <ok>

    Sorry didn't mean to snap but i thought everyone had seen the article.

    That's quite okay <ok>. I am aware that he should be back for the Spurs game. But I can't help but be slightly pessimistic. I'm not used to all this good news after good news.

    Even though he'll probably be back for Spurs, if he isn't Pardew has to play 5 in midfield.

    I swear to god, if he plays 4-4-2 with Shola again I'll feel like topping myself...

    Good news really. Better than;

    "Demba Ba limps off during international game."

    Shola just came back from injury, he's not fully fit and Pardew shouldn't take the 'risk' :D

    No major worries. It doesn't sound too serious (yet) and at least we can shuffle Ben Arfa into the side.

    It's somewhat unusual that we could replace an injured starter with a player and potentially make the starting 11 stronger than it was before.

    From what I've read Cabaye should start for France tomorrow against Bosnia, it's only a knock. Not sure about Ba but

    ----------Krul-----------
    Simmo--Colo--Saylor--Santon
    Jonas--Tiote--Cabaye--Marv
    ----------HBA------------
    ----------Ba--------------

    would be frickin awesome!!
