Longshanks was a ruthless son of a bitch, no doubt about it. Elizabeth 1st for me is our greatest ever Monarch.
Not when you post utter rubbish. 1. it's okay for you to point score in just about everything anti British post of yours. But when there is some good news which there is, you bitch. As it happens I was not trying to point score as I wouldn't use currency to do so. However the pound is getting stronger... if you think different then you are a stupid 2222. 2. As for caring about people? Do you know what I have been doing in my spare time of late? No you don't, so don't play the 'caring card' when people like me are helping others out without all the fanfare. As for leaving the EU... I wish we had done it years ago. Just take a look at them in the past 3 weeks. Mickey Mouse organisation that is falling to bits.
Cool rant. Try and smile and enjoy things a bit more. I’ll get the Union Jack bunting out when it hits 1.3.
I dont really know if she's amazing or not. People form opinions, publish those opinions and hey presto....she's a witch! To be honest, I've never cared for the royal family, load of tosh if you ask me. I didnt mind Diana until they killed her off!
Not a rant mate just pointing out that the pound is strong and I do care about people who need help. Anyway we are talking monarchs now.
The Kranky has pulled another fast one and got in before Boris on schools again but the EU has rejected calls to readmit Scotland to the Erasmus scheme. Ursula von der Leyen said "The entire UK must rejoin the student exchange program for the devolved nations to participate".
That's a couple of weeks old that news about schools reopening for Primary kids in P1 to P3 up here, so hardly pulling a fast one.
Richard II for me really. Spent 12 months studying him and writing about some fairly niche bits of his reign, so maybe some sort of Stockholm syndrome.
Badly misrepresented by Shakespeare I believe. Not the strongest of Monarchs imo, but there have been a lot worse for sure.
Yep, very badly. Fascinating period given he came to the throne at the age of 10 as a result of his father (Edward, the Black Prince) dying. Loads of politics among the more senior royals at the time and (imo) John of Gaunt, first Duke of Lancaster, comes out of the story with a lot of credit. His son, usurper and eventually Henry IV, less so, again in my opinion. Often thought the period would make a good HBO type drama.

Yeah, 1381, when Richard was 12. Although a misnomer as mostly made up from the wealthiest (often land owning) 'peasants'. So middle class protest. Plus ça change.
