I agree about Massengo. He's growing on me (!!) but is still too lightweight. Maybe a short course at Tomlins weight-gain academy would fix him!! Seriously, he's improving but not there yet. This squad (I'm being kind) has lots of tricks but no muscle. We need to play to those, er - 'strengths' and not bother trying to go toe-to-toe against a more physical midfield because that's a duel we are destined to lose. As for the Almighty; I'm starting to think he must be a Cardiff fan, the way they seem to be able to turn things around time and time again after being 5hit all season. There's no way a Cardiff fan would want us to do well - except perhaps if we were playing Swansea in a game where they needed Swansea to lose, so I'm not expecting any spiritual assistance I'm afraid, but yes we could certainly do with some!!!
I couldn't bear to listen to it to be honest. I haven't listened to any of them and I never used to listen to LJs after a defeat either. I go into a sulk when we lose and don't watch or listen to any football. For those still trying to be positive; I believe we lost 6-0 against Ipswich under GJ, but still went on to make the playoff final that season.
R&W In that season we had a few who'd get in most Championship teams whereas this season we wouldn't get any. Basso, Marvin and Carey to name 3.
Shall I? I'd love to...... it's SOO tempting, but no, I won't add another to that list - it would divert the thread into ruin!! .
There was this one guy in our midfield, can't recall his name now...? He was in the team for most of the season, then, when he got injured, City fell out of the automatic promotion spots to the play-offs? I would also add McIndoe to that list, a complete bell-end, but the only Premiership quality we had that season imo.
I got very excited when we signed Nick Carle - I couldn't wait to see him play. You mentioning McIndoe reminded me - I think they had a punch-up when Carle went to Palarse I seem to remember......
