So, all of the away tickets have been sold out for this one. Is anyone planning on going in the home end? Anyone know of any restrictions for pay at the gate fans? As for the match, what team would you pick, and what result do you think it will be?
will be a tough one ,stevenage play well at home lots of dirty tricks off the ball trying wind up opposition, beware of that!to get to stevenage if going by rail have to go from bank theirs an overhead service from the northern line platform where you have to look for signs for stevenage!its quite a reliable service as well but might be re serviceing works on a saturday though.otherwise you can get from liverpool street by train i think!.watch out when arive at ground for several first team players watch how they warm up all seem up for it from kick off westley will get them all geed up u in for a tough game lads enjoy-by the way ia it was a scouting report i was doing on a player who been told about very good in ferdinand i think we should at least get him on trial.
Stevenage has no Underground station... If going by train you'll need to go from Kings Cross which takes about 25mins (£15 for a ticket) - this is a site i always find useful for travelling to Away games... www.footballgroundguide.co.uk
so whats that train at bank i keep seing trains to stevenage?never been on it myself but always pass the signs trains to stevenage i thourght they pass near the ground sorry if got it wrong
I expected this to sell out- should make for a great atmosphere ala orient, wycombe and southend. Never been there before, anyone know much about it- good pubs etc? You thinking of ghosting down for it IA?
i dont know on this one but when i use northern line and go up escalators theirs always to tube carriages waiting on platform to stevenage so i dont know if thats overhead or underground never been on it but it says stevenage on the signs so i pusume so
If I could've got an away ticket, I would be there. I have the away games, just not enough stubs. If I think I can get a home ticket, then yes, I'm tempted by this one. Not sure how tight the restrictions will be for home fans, and it's too far to travel for the hell of it. I could definitely blend in with the home fans - I never wear colours. Just dunno if they need a ticket history or something like that. Not to worry, I'm definitely going to Hartlepool.
I can confirm that there is no tube-station at Stevenage. There is a railway station, two in fact. I am going on Saturday. Got my ticket a couple of weeks ago. But I will have to set off to get there about 7am. I am currently in Berwick working for the Northumberland tourist board. I get to visit all of the main attractions up here and eat in some really fancy restaurants. Plus the wife and kids are with me so that I can capture the family angle. Anyway, COYR!
Whats the second Railway Station in Stevenage called Ponders? Have you had a chance to visit Babbenburg?
watch out for any playmakers you have, stevenage are a dirty side and they will target them first, they know every trick in the book and be prepared for about 6 mins injury time each half.hope you stuff em ,its not football the way it should be played, dont say you havent been warned.
JA you're thinking of the National Rail trains that go from Moorgate and Old Street via the 'Northern City Line', as they go to Stevenage, but only during the week, so at weekends you have to go from Kings Cross.
