Mentioned during the commentary on Saturday but haven’t seen or heard an answer to the question of any SAFC player scoring Four headed goals in a game . I am a long term supporter and I can’t ever recall seeing or hearing of anyone else achieving it . Apologies in advance if it has already appeared on the forum . Answers anyone ?
Eddie Reynolds of Wimbledon scored 4 headed goals in FA Amateur Cup Final in 1963. Funny thing is I can remember this event as I used to follownon league football a bit in early 60s http://www.historicaldons.com/player.php?od=4&id=652
Be surprised if it's happened for us before, would be interesting to know. I also want to know if, ever in football, a player has scored four headers in a game that were all assisted by the same person.
Doubt if their will be any record of assists as that is a recent thing , before assists it was classed as doing your job !
So is scoring goals for a striker to be fair, but they recorded that! Do take your point mind, either way I'd be surprised if it had happened. 4 headed goals by the same player in a match seems rare enough without needing all to have been deliveries from the same player. Lets just say it's unique * *since records began a few years ago!
