However you try to get there it will be hell.

I got there at 6:00pm for a 7:45pm kick off against Palace and it was already chaos at Brighton train station (big queues and packed trains going towards Falmer).

However, trying to drive to the ground means massive queues (and I think parking is for home fans only who have permits).

You HAVE to get there really early. Parking in Brighton is hideously expensive but possible. The buses coming back out (or the trains) are ridiculous too. My tip would be to get there around 3pm and have some food at the ground (no drinks since you are driving!) and then hot foot it out the ground at the final whistle.

The only sensible thing to do is to get a room for the night or be prepared to drive through the early hours...... not good news I'm afraid. Even the Brighton fans are up in arms about it!

The info below is very true.

It's nearly five miles, how fit are you feeling?

I'm planning on trying to get the same cabbie that drops me off, to come back and get me.

not that fit unfortunately. looks like my powers of diplomacy and negotiation may be required. Either that or I register for a University course at the Brighton College. Possibly in physical education it seems!!

We got sent free rail tickets from Brighton Station to the ground with our batch of tickets (nice gesture from Brighton).

It seems that the station gets a bit busy, so the only thing we’ll have to decide on, is what time we have our last pint before leaving for the ground.<cheers><cheers>
