Some interesting thoughts on the matter from Joe Saward's Blog

Sounds like the recent judgement has done nothing in terms of clarifying either teams future.

Yes, it is still almost as muddy as it ever was.
Your reference to Saward's blog is of course, well worth your article Westy, but I've reached the point of losing interest, unlike the banks of course…

The only thing that has really surprised me is that Renault have not left F1 yet. They've never seemed firmly committed to F1 (to me, at least), and with this
whole sordid affair is something I would have expected to have precipitated their exit some time ago. My reckoning is that they are only still in, ultimately because of the banks.

Cheers, Westy. That was really interesting. So Renault loaned GenII the money to buy the team from Renault? Is that right? I'm not even sure if I think that's smart or not.

    What a mess.

The renault thing is pathetic. They were only just winning back repectability last year after the crashgate affair.

Very interesting, I had no idea that there were so many dirty fingers in the Renault pie. What a mess, and just when they are getting back on course. Thanks for posting the article.

    Yes Westy; I agree.
All that is really needed is to move some pride aside. This is a good move.

Edit: [This is a gross exaggeration of course, but you get my drift I think…]
