Our problem is up front. The only player who looks like he knows where the goal is in recent games is Doherty. Lets get him on the end of through passes and long balls into the box. Get Emmanuel back in at RB and Wilks in front of him...they combine well. Move Elder up on the left and give Clark a start at LB. We can't keep playing the way we have the last five games. Shake things up. I'd go.

    Ingram

    Emmanuel Burke Greaves.Clark

    Wilks Jones Honeyman Elder

    KLP (or Magennis) Doherty

Is there anybody on this board who doesn't think we should be starting Emmanuel and Wilks down the right?

Me. I'm fed up with Wilks playing crap and trying to cut inside only to lose the bloody ball. Doesn't pass, and cant run with the ball without diving over before contact is made. Does my ****ing head in. And his shooting is absolute garbage of late.

I honestly think one Josh will come in and one will drop out. A blind man could see how much Magennis is struggling of late, and only a total idiot would not realise that Emmanuel and Wilks work the right side so well. Oh wait...

To be honest if his only option when having the opportunity to pass in the final third, is to Magennis. Then I’d continue dribbling and try to get a shot off myself. Magennis cannot play with his back to goal, his ball control simply is not good enough. His close control is when the ball cannons off him and doesn’t go any further than 6 yards from him.

Take your point about Magennis but he has plenty of opportunities to play a pass and chooses not to. God knows what is going on in his head.

Team selection (within reason) and formation is a moot point for me, it's the style of play and tactical approach which needs looking at, starting with us dropping deep and allowing teams to get out of their half under little to no pressure. It won't happen but I'd very much like to see us push teams a lot higher up the pitch, deny them space in their half, try to win the ball back in their half and not let them get out easily. If a team is good enough to pass round us in their half and get out, fair play to them I say, but against a team that is 3rd bottom and in turmoil, they shouldn't be.

    4-0 City obviously.

But seriously, do you fancy actually putting away at least one of your chances lads? Maybe have a change of tactics? Try more than one ****ing sub?

We'll get nowt out of this.

If we somehow contrive to have a shot on target it'll be a bonus.

He’s probably trying to recover the ball after his first attempt at trapping the ball sent it yards away. His second touch genuinely is a tackle.

Has a misunderstanding morphed a conversation about Wilks into a conversation about Magennis here?
