The last three you mention are not good enough to be in our squad

I don’t disagree but they were still signed quite recently

He even attempted a Terry Penguin Dive to block the shot with his head.

His head is so empty of footballing intelligence it more or less floated gently back down to earth.

I promise you I will never forget his complete ineptness on that goal.

Ndombele, Lo Celso and Bergwijn yes
    Doherty and Hart, no

Let's be honest, Doherty is another Trippier: signed to stick a rocket up the incumbent RBs backside - the difference being that Trippier worked, at least until he started getting agmes at which point the incumbent RB painted themselves as a victim in order to justify their being tapped up - on the other hand, Doherty inspired Aurier to raise his game for maybe 2-3 months, before falling back into the usual bad habits

So a rebuild of the rebuild is needed?

Doherty and Hart were always short term signings because it's highly unlikely either will be at the club at the start of the 2022-3 season

The thing is that Poch actively refused to sign any short-term signings, and there's certainly comments in the press about him not bringing in a Stambouli-type signing to tide us over for a season, preferring to bring in long term or, at the very least, medium term signings. The issue is that reality has a funny way of messing up those plans in very unique ways, for example
    - Wanyama was intended as a medium term signing but ended up being a short term one
    - Sissoko was intended as a medium term signing who ended up being long term
    - Foyth was intended as a long term signing who looks likely to end up as a short term one
    - Trippier and Davies ended up outlasting the players they were brought in to motivate to better heights (albeit for very different reasons)

Davies was Poch's first signing (or half of his first signing, as Vorm arrived on the same day)

Was that when we swapped Siggurdeson for Vorm so Swansea didn't need to pay a sell on fee?

    Yup

Also, judging what Poch said in an interview, Siggy was sold above his head in a bid to get the wage bill down after Baldini grossly inflated it with Soldado and Paulinho's wages

He needs binning off, he has had enough chances now and has not improved since he arrived. We`ll be lucky to get £15m back for him though.

First couple of seasons he looked good, but it’s scary how much he has deteriorated since 2019.

Realistically Spurs need 3 new centre backs :emoticon-0114-dull:

Sanchez shouldn't be anywhere near a starting spot. The only thing he offers is pace in a high line. He has no natural defensive qualities and his confidence is gone.

Given the way we play and even taking into account everyone else's wretched form, he's the last on the list...even behind Dire, which is really saying something right now

It’s disappointing he hasn’t kicked on. I was at Everton away where he made his full debut and he had a blinder, we won 3-0 and there was a point in the game where he flicked the ball over Rooney’s head and ran round him and I was thinking so not only can he defend but he’s got a bit about him too, but despite some promising spells at various stages in different seasons he’s not progressed in to that top level CB we were hoping he’d be when we splashed that £40m, he’s arguably regressed. Gotta cut our losses in the summer, same applies to all three CBs but I doubt the club will be that bold. Hindsight says we should’ve gone for Dave’s defensive partner at Ajax, he’s not doing too shabby nowadays...

athletically sanchez is great. Quick, strong, tenacious.

unfortunately for you guys his decision making and positional sense and numerous brainfarts make him a liability. Also his ability on the ball is about the same as Hugo Lloris.
