Trump was just "acquitted" by the Senate - I use inverted commas as a majority (57-43) voted to convict but not enough for a formal conviction.

Trump was guilty, just that GOP senators don't have the courage to expel him.

You're right about one thing, it came down to partisan politics. Only 7 GOP senators had the courage to vote with their conscience (and two of them don't fear any backlash from the GOP/Trump as they're retiring. So no matter how bad Trump's lawyers were (and they were pretty damn awful - which you would know if you had followed the trial at all) Trump was going to get acquitted.

Trump is just a POS and not fit to hold any public office.
Oh and while you are talking about donations, many donors are actually suing Trump to get their money back as it turns out Trump has used them to pay off his campaign/legal debts. And he's going to have a shed load more when he gets hit with lawsuits from the likes of Dominion and his defamation of them, his sexual assault suit, the New York fraud lawsuit, on top of lawsuits against his organization for unpaid bills for renting venues for his rallies etc
Oh and he may still face criminal charges for electoral interference in Georgia and may well face charges of inciting insurrection or sedition for the January 6th riot..

Trump is the worst ever president and a total scumbag...he is utterly malignant and tried to hang on to power at all costs. He even suggested scrapping the 22nd amendment and even delaying the election as COVID made it unsafe - yet he did everything to force schools to re-open. Safe for kids to go to school, but not safe to vote.
You mention 75 million but fail to mention the 81+ million that voted for Biden. You were saying something about checking facts.
Many Republicans voted for a GOP congressman / senator but also for President Biden, so sick were they of Trump, his constant lies and his brand of toxic politics that borders on outright fascism.

It is a CONSTITUTIONAL Republic, because it is DEMOCRATIC (ie: a Democracy)
As opposed to non constitutional (or non-democratic) Republic like the People's REPUBLIC of China, or the Democratic People's REPUBLIC of Korea (otherwise known as North Korea).

I've heard this "Trump was the worst President ever" before. I have absolutely no time for Trump as I've said many times but he was nowhere near the worst President even in the last 40 years.
Both Bushes took the World into illegal wars that we are still feeling the repercussions of, and for which millions have died and Clinton was impeached because he lied to a Grand Jury.
This hatred of Trump has been festered by a partisan media and many of the Political class in the USA, on both sides, because he dared to become a Politician.
He is a businessman from a very privileged family who is used to being able to say and do exactly what he wants. He is certainly not a Politician. That is the very reason so many people voted for him.

The impeachment "trial" was a farce. The House Managers were never going to get enough votes so they just wasted time like spoilt children.
Trump is no longer President, they should have just let it go.
I would vote for anyone before I'd vote for the snake Nancy Pelosi or that POS Chuck Schumer.
