IMO that team with everyone in form, could challenge for a top 6 place. Heck I'd say as an overall team it's better than Arsenal's.

They have the best front line in Van Persie, Gervinho and Walcott, but as an overall team I'd say the above starting 11 is a stronger team than Arsenals.

With this team i think we could have finished 6th this year.

Carroll is ****e now anyway, the price tag and not playing for his local side anymore look to have ruined him. It would take him ages to even get to the level he was at here. Ba and Best both outperforming him over the last 10 months.

Be nice if Enrique stayed, but then we'd never have bought Santon anyway.

 

I don't think Carroll would be doing as **** if he were still playing for us. He fit into our team perfectly. He doesn't suit Liverpool at all.

 

If we hadnt sold Enrique, we wouldnt have signed Santon. So put Simpson at right back.

You're right, this is pointless...while I'm here though:

I prefer the way we play without Carroll, its too easy to just boot long balls up to him and it made us very 1 dimensional, PLUS, Cabaye's skill lies in his passing, mainly his ability to spread the play with long cross field balls - he wouldn't be anywhere near as effective with Carroll up front.

Enrique is a great player but **** him, plain and simple, he left, we're moving on. I can't hold it against him, we weren't showing much ambition on paper and he wants to play for Spain. Santon is possibly more versatile playing on the left as he can cut inside or get to the byline with his left. Harder to mark/close down and therefore a bigger threat.

 

If all stayed fit then we would have definetly got into Europe!

Plus, we can always switch Santon to the right and buy Cissokho/Pieters in January
