Nufc have a 10 point gap from the relegation zone and his employer has told him 17th is his target, so the odds reflect the fact he's doing what he's been asked. I cannot understand why some fans are still struggling with this.
Two points on this. I think Roland does understand the point re 17th and the target. But it’s plain idiotic from the club. That setting the lowest possible target and actually being settled and praised for it is sheer incompetence and a lack of respect for the fans. My second point is Bruce has somehow managed to end up being public enemy number one with the fans (an achievement in itself given the hatred towards Ashley) and it’s almost all self inflicted. His ignorance towards us is plain awful. The lack of respect towards the fans in general from the club is just plain bizarre. One thing is certain though. When the dust settles, takeover or not things will be different. If it’s a takeover happy days. If it’s not then Ashley has a shell of a club without the fans support.
Odds are influenced significantly by the money being bet. If you put £50,000 on today for Bruce to be sacked his odds would come down. Nothing has changed except you have put money on. But the odds would change.
Mate I wasn't leveling that comment at Roland just generally towards the number of fans that keep thinking that the clubs aim is to improve its position.. The club doesn't care Iof it's 11th or 17th. Steve Bruce has been honest and the fans don't like it, so they're waving their pitch forks as usual. These fans are more interested in winning an argument with the media etc that are pro Bruce than they're about anything else Let's hope he keeps us up.
I don’t even think Bruce has been honest either. He has said himself earlier in the season that he wanted progress and for the club to finish if table or top half. Now he’s saying it’s about 17th or above. He’s made excuse after excuse after excuse blaming others for his mistakes. But then takes full credit when it goes right. He’s made it public that he’s a nufc fan but then he says we (not he so he’s generalising) have hysteria? No we want the best for the club Steve. So he’s lieing. If he’s honest then he would have admitted that his tactics and the teams performances up till 3 games ago where not acceptable. He has done this **** time and time again at a lot of clubs he has been at and a lot of fans don’t like him for that. It’s just pure luck that at the moment there are 3 worse teams than us.
I doubt that mate and reports are that if we go down it'll kill the deal. We need to stay up imo and this weeks crucial because of Fulham lose the next 3 I think we're fine, but this is newcastle and we should imo expect Fulham to win a couple.
