The mere fact he was there yesterday, ALONE, say the others are out of the picture. It show ,as you said, who is in charge now. No way would he be there if it wasn't "Done". His advisers will have seen to that.
Yeah, everything points to it being done. Personally, I think we're still waiting for a signature or EFL confirmation. I just can't understand why we wouldn't announce it otherwise
Yeah - it’s clearly an absolute certainty. Reckon it’s just paperwork holding it up rather than us delaying for timing reasons.
Although we are live on sky again on Wednesday so can imagine they’ll have a camera on KLD at all times
It is a little odd atm, he appears to be running the club, spending money, driven around in a club range rover and been to the last 3 or 4 games. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck it is a duck?
I was told in December that he'd line up his entire staff before he made it all official. I thought that was a bit far fetched but who knows. If there is someone else to come it must be significant to cause a delay. Or it could be the EFL of course ... ... if so then KLD is surely shaking hands, in front of the TV cameras, for one of two reasons. A) To reassure the supporters that it's done. B) To show the EFL up as a bunch of mugs.
Nixon has said it’s still with the EFL but Dreyfus wants to get cracking, then in a tweet after said ‘yes, but it’s never done until it’s done, the final stages are the most frustrating’ when someone asked if it’s positive signs, damn bloody right it is...
The EFL are incompetent, the time and delays it's taking to mull over these takeovers is surely putting clubs at more financial risk as opposed to helping them.
If we'd had to soldier on with Parkinson, without McGeady and losing money who knows what might've happened mate ... ... thankfully KLD has grasped the nettle and totally ignored the EFL.
Unfortunately the Covid19 crisis , ( and to some degree the bad weather) has created the perfect storm for delays in all sorts of proceedings, people WFH must be a nightmare where documents have to be signed in person, in the presence of another person, who may not be geographically anywhere close at hand. I know from recent personal experience that the justice system has been absolutely ground to a halt by this virus, simply because people in the legal profession aren't allowed to be in the same place together as previously required, so I'd imagine all sorts of legal stuff is being similarly delayed. Patience required here I think. KTF
No further close to completion then? Despite the fact KLD has been had 2 league one games this week, shook hands with players and such, more than what the FPP lot done. All we need to make sure now is that KLD steers clear of ALS, before they do some premature "SunDELLand" style announcement. *looks at emails* For goodness sakes....
Not even sure it needs any formal announcement really, though I'm sure there will be one, if only for the media element to it all. Pretty clear who is in charge now. And I for one, don't underestimate the magnitude of this. A rich bloke with connections and knowledge . With youth, energy and drive, buys a provincial club in the far North, in League One and not even at the top of it, in the middle of horrendous worldwide business conditions, and a club which has been hollowed out by incompetents. When you look around the football world, including the two leagues above us, there are a lot of clubs walking on the edge of a razor blade and would be very happy indeed with a takeover of this type. Hard to see a downside to any of this. Welcome aboard to my favourite Frenchman!
Apart from attending a couple of matches and meeting the players I believe he has been up here about a week and is organising everything and getting to know what needs to be done. Even the sound system was being looked at Think someone mentioned earlier that he has budgets meetings this week. He's getting on with it and to me that is the main thing. He might have more to tell us when it is finally announced. Loads of clubs would love to be in our position even some in the premier league which are on the edge
