Now’s a time where Jose may as well throw caution to the wind. Get Hojbjerg and Lamela off for Bale and Vinicius and just see if we can “go for it”. Will probably concede one or two more but you’d like to think we’ll also score once or twice too. Playing cautiously whilst 2-0 down will be pointless.
Short term pain for long term gain It’s gone tits up for him at Spurs and he has never turned it around before, even when he was at clubs with huge spending power and he wasn’t the washed up manager he is now
We aren’t winning a trophy under Mourinho. we can talk about “same players” till we’re blue in the face, but we’ve signed several new ones to provide us with competition for places and a bit of extra quality. but the reality is that we just haven’t improved under Mourinho, and we should have by now. The football is lifeless and nothing is working. As a result the players have no confidence and we’ve lost our identity. How much longer to we persist with this?
Tbh this isn’t really a game I can blame Jose too much for. Regardless of manager we’re playing the best team in the league at their ground and for as **** as we’ve been, it’s taken a stupid penalty from Hojbjerg and **** keeping from Lloris to **** us. That said, this is another defeat in a run of games where we’ve not picked up anywhere near enough points, nor played anywhere near like how we should be. It’s not looking great but I definitely won’t be pointing the finger too much at Jose today.
