Well the way i look at it, I have a lad at my work whos a complete ar$ehole, he walks round the place like he owns it, and hes constantly bragging how good he is. Pretty much everybody hates him. To be fair though, he is actually a good grafter, and good at his job, so we all persevere with him. If another club came and took Mcgeady off us then i wouldn't have any complaints, but he is picking up a hefty wage each week, so as long as he's doing that he should be made to contribute imo, even if its just as a sub playing 20 mins here and there. Beggers can't be chooses, we have nobody else like him that can turn a game on its head by producing abit of Magic.
Best player by a mile you idiot. No one was saying that when he carried us single handedly to the play offs and almost saved us from Checkatrade embarrassment. It’s okay though because we have ‘hard workers’ like George Dobson getting a game every week. Get a grip you absolute knacker.
Got to say in my limited view of things it doesn't look like we're missing him. Team is creating enough chances, putting them away is our immediate issue. I'd rather see us use any wage budget left to try and get a striker on loan as we would piss this league with a consistent goalscorer.
He was ****e for some time towards the end and he won't have gotten better in the interim. He was slowing play down to a crawl and constantly trying Hollywood stuff that didn't work out. Add to that him bullying the younger players you're so keen on and he can **** off, for me.
But his wages don’t count towards the salary cap if he’s not in the squad. It’s about sticking to the rules to avoid hefty penalties. It’s actually more financially viable to have him being paid to do nowt!! Stupid as that sounds
It was reported and at the exact same time Parky kicked him into touch, doesn't take a genius to figure it out does it?
Player through the pain barrier to try though (poor attitude that) If it wasn’t for him we wouldn’t have even been in the play offs, fact.
No doubt he is a very good player, if he had Grants attitude we would not be having any argument, but he is the polar opposite, and we have to get on without him.
He couldn't care less under Ross and Parkinson ... ... he really cares now. Is that Johnson or did going to Charlton shock him back into reality?
If you read his interview on his side of the argument he had with Parkinson i dont think he done alot wrong at all. Parkinson was just a shyte manager hence the reason why players like Sanderson and Diamond never got a look in either.
He would say that though, he's hardly likely to say aye I was bullying the younger players and that's why the boss got rid of me. Played great today, among the best performances I've seen from him. Couldn't stop putting it on Wyke's head and a class ball to Gooch. He's certainly been a lot stronger than I expected this season given his form in the past.
he'll not play like that every game, but he will be someone that every opposition team will feel the need to try and cancel out, meaning that a part of their game will be disrupted - as long as we can get the ball out to him, or if not to him because he gets crowded out it will create space somewhere else on the pitch
