I agree, a manager with a pedigree should have been appointed as LJ was walking out of his office.. basically they sacked LJ, not having a clue who they were replacing him with.

Just out of interest, squad of 19 first team players today, 10 MA/LJ signings, 7 came through academy, 2 MA/DH signings and DH selected the squad.

Is MA worth his supposedly £150k plus a year?

Of course it's an excuse today:-Hunt, Paterson, Massengo and Diedhiou are not good enough by a long chalk and all have been part of the problem, Nagy has probably had 2 good games since arriving, Palmer was a poor signing, Baker is like quaver injury wise, Rowe, ODowda, Adelakum, Watkins, thats 11 players FFS and into the bargain we managed to **** up 20 goal a season striker (and that process started last season and has continued).

Wish he would do the honourable thing and walk. I don’t want him anywhere near the next appointment.

I don't agree I fully believe Holden was always going to get the job, from minute one of day 1 after LJ was sacked, the rest was lies and bullshit.

Get on the phone to Howe now because he has a history of managing a smaller budget team backed by promotion to the Premiership. I have always thought that he puts out a competitive squad without over priced players at a club where they have only low crowds. Hire him as a consultant manager for the remainder of the season and pay his price but you must give him free rein to look at the footballing side to evaluate where we are going wrong. The only problem in my books is that we all know Lansdown well enough to expect him to ignore any reasonable advice and hire someone who won't fill the actual needs yet again. The players must be as fed up with this nonsense as much as us but strangely they will show up on pay day even though they don't put the effort when it really matters.

Our next run of games offers very little in the win dept and soon we could be just a few points above the relegation zone and if we don't up our game then the unthinkable will be at our doorstep.

Perhaps we will hear some good news on Monday to the fact that the management has complete faith in their head coach and believe that he can turn this motley crew into winners. Pssssst I have still got some of that arable land up in the Arctic.

Small budget? They were bankrolled by a Russian billionaire and If they didn’t go up they would of been hammered by FFP.

Somebody asked if Lansdown was watching.

I expect him and his wife are still watching the video of last night Bristol Bears win in their Bristol Bears rugby shirts.

You don’t tell him he’s sacked until he actually is.
Other clubs manage it - why not us?
Would you sack a courier driver in mid-transit? No. You wait until he returns to the depot and his replacement can take over.

It's nice to know his focus is in the right place and to hell with the football. I was unaware of the Russian billionaire at Bournemouth ROD so thanks for info.

Lansdown will never come up with a real plan so we should plan for apathy and consistent under achieving. Status quo again.

this statement does not make any sense ..Why would you need to believe me? You made a statement that I commented to, You added involved the appointment of DH which I stand by so now your follow up is assuming I said you cannot believe them, you can should you wish to, I merely asked who they were, and pointed out they do not make decisions. you have to believe me ???? what do I have to say that you think you should believe?

The football community is small there are no secrets, especially as far as agents are concerned, they love spilling the beans to the press, as are a few players and pundits, I personally don't care about other clubs, the time was right to sack LJ but had they adopted the tactics that you suggest then that would have been shameful and not the way I want my club to act, after all LJ had tried his best and had given the club everything he had, football is already a shameful profession with the money and cheating, without acting like that.

Never say never I would sack a courier driver if for instance if he was pissed, or he had lost his eyesight or if he was nicking the goods or had chinned a customer or any number of issues including telling LJ that his journo mate had told him that SL and Ashton was talking to other managers.

Was a good game, but that’s 2 weeks running now that it could of gone both ways in the end.
