I've personally always liked O'gilvie. I can be any player's fiercest critic sometimes, but I don't think I've ever been that towards him. I've often suggested he should be playing a more forward role. So I'm glad to get something right for a change and you were right to gio to speak up for him. Dempsey's goal was the cherry on the cake.

Why do you think that lightning never strikes twice?
I have absolutely no problem with acknowledging that O'Gilvie's goal was a stunner.. The other two Gills goals weren't shabby... O'Gilvie, this season has been better - but I wouldn't say he was 'special.'..... As for Jackson -- again we concede when he takes a throw-in on the left - and was well out of position -- although he did himself no favours when he actually STOPPED in the build up for Charlton's first goal ( and at other times when we were under assault )..... but -

I want to congratulate the battling performance in a game that ( other than the goals ), lacked much quality. However, when it was 2-2, and we had the extra man, why did we allow Charlton to press our defence ? - but - if we can score goals like today, I might not care to receive any answer.

A great goal, up there with Mark Byrne's volley from a few seasons ago.
