Yeah. Alisson plays a good sweeper role, but it's only appropriate when the ball is played into lots of space. If there's a defender there he has to let him go for it otherwise the cock-up we saw is always likely. It's entirely the keeper's fault because the defender can't read the full situation - and they've never played together before so communication is always going to be an issue.

I suggest you take a look at the injuries Leicester have in defence. Its called strength in depth and you don't have that.

Key players have lost a step, Mane is never going to get better at his age.
VVD will not be the player he was
Ox is not the player he was, may never be but he's at least 27
    Matip unreliable fitness
    Gomez unreliable fitness
    Gene, done, he's off
No quality no2, only an apprentice
Milner, MILNER! who has to cover for Robbo and Trent

and more, we are victims of our own success, we let a rot set in

Interesting but we where OK when virgil got injured, it was when Joe got injured that we went to ****.?

Big virg is a wonder no doubt, but Joe's pace makes us tick.

@Zanjinho "If everyone was fit we'd be"

Proves we are victims of our own success. If everyone was fit for City every year they think they would be top too.

We had two windows, and while I would not expect fans to understand the dynamics of managing a team the manager and club should have factored in those risks.
But because we were so successful, we let ourselves die a death of a thousand cuts :D

]Key players have lost a step, Mane is never going to get better at his age.
VVD hard to say how good he will be when he comes back
Ox is not the player he was, may never be but he's at least 27. Not first 11
Matip unreliable fitness not first 11
Gomez unreliable fitness he's had 2 big injuries, he's only a boy
    Gene, done, he's off agreed.
No quality no2, only an apprentice not sure your point on this one.
Milner, MILNER! who has to cover for Robbo and Trent, tmiskas for robbo ,Williams for trent, he doesn't have to cover for anyone. Again not first 11

and more, we are victims of our own success, we let a rot set in

    totally agree :bandit:

A squad is a squad, first 11 argument not relevant, your available squad decides your first 11

The impact of losing VVD on us has been immense. Dude

Id say Al would not be making those mistakes if VVD was playing

I'm unsure what your getting at here, are you suggesting that we spend a **** load that we havnt got on players to bulk the squad?

We have an unprecedented injury list, city lost one player and moaned all season.

I am saying that our CBs were all hinged on playing along side VVD, and even then 2 of them are physically unreliable to be available.

VVD allowed us to not have Matip and Gomez and still do well, now we're without all 3 because we never thought "hey what happens if we lose VVD, can we rely on the other 2"

This is tied to Allison's form imo, I think that is part of why he's now flakey.

He's not letting the ball go between his legs, its coming out to play with feet where he's a mess now

Cod they wanted to. As I said they added a 3rd foot to firmino to make damned sure the player was onside

It doesn't matter we wouldn't make a.dmaned tackle and just backed off and encouraged them then lost the heads.

That should have been 1-0 win. No excuses.

Throw on ox for the largely ineffective Jones (going forward at least) and we fall apart again.

    No.

    Absolutely not.

He held the ball on everything that came in.

His error is not smashing kabak as he'd made the absolutely right call to come. He had got there.

He should have made sure of ball.

That’s just deluded nonsense though. Who are you actually talking about, who’s been missing since Christmas that’s supposedly made all the difference?

Allison, it what he is, unsurprisingly he been caught out, it not the first time it won't be the last. Hes an exceptional keeper who's prone to a rush of blood. Trying to link his good form to virgil is stretching.

Again we where fine without virgil, it was when we lost Joe that it all went south. (No club is prepared to lose all of there cb for the season)

I dont subscribe to Joe being injury prone, he's had two bad injuries, one a broken leg, he's not keita, play one off three. Unlucky maybe, not injury prone.
