This^ If we weren't desperate he wouldn't be playing. Klopp likes a good long look at players before he throws them in. How long did it take Fabinho and Robbo to get into the team?
Purse strings need to be cut to pieces in the summer, and another Al VVD Salah type spree again on quality. We no longer have a team that allows us to look for bargains to develop lest we go back to the days of 2000s
We had the quality to not have to rely on them too soon We're not in that position any more so we have to buy big in this current situation, prospects will not save us
One of my friends said we could do a Leicester and **** up the following season after the title. I said no way as we were much better and a much bigger club. The team has stopped believing in themselves as soon as they concede. Before that it looked fine. It’s about getting back our confidence and accept that we have to come back in some matches.
Yes. Especially this defence at this particular time. Allisson plays goalkeeper in an unusual style too so Kabak probably wouldn't expect him to be that far out of goal.
aye, that was totally Al's fault. Kabak knows nothing about Leicester the PL or the opponents he faces. I seen Trent get absolutely owned by Rashford in the past, but he learned to play against him. Sometimes you need that baptism of fire
yiu watch kabak not once does he take his eyes off the ball either so if he had no shout then no idea he was coming. Alisson can see everything from there. Poor of him not to shout. And even then? If you’re gonna come you need to take all the ball and if need be take out your defender doing it. Don’t do a half assed job
We only had Moreno in front of Robbo, and once the latter was in the former was off. I just think Klopp believes he needs time to assess players and get them into his way of playing. I don't know what Phillips has done to piss him off. He's not the most gifted player, but he's been solid enough.
If everyone was fit, we'd still be top (as we were on Christmas Day). We've not only been decimated by injuries, they've been mainly on one area of the pitch. No team in the world would cope with those losses.
Thought kabak was fine. Won some headers. Made some decent tackles. Got booked because Barnes fell over when the wind picked up to 5mph from 3mph. third goal couldn’t do an awful lot. Quick turnover after losing the ball and whole team is out of shape
Agreed. I've no issue with Alisson coming but he needed to take control, he didn't! As admitting and disappointing as it is (this and Man City), he's got plenty of credit in his account still...
VVD is 29, and who knows, he may well not be the player he was when he comes back. We need to spend big on a CB in the summer, 50 60 70 mil big
God forbid, but if we have 90% of the first team back next season, we have the luxury of buying one or two and letting them develop into the team. It's very very painful at the moment, but you can not equate this team with last season. We had 7 players from last season playing and in their correct positions, last game that dropped to 5. There are definitely mitigating circumstances to our current run.
yup, keepers make errors. And he’s returned from illness/injury? Not gonna call for him to be replaced but doesn’t help when your one consistent performer decides to have some shockers! Prob hasn’t helped him having to try remember who is in front of him these days either as diff person each week
As debuts go, he was alright. Certainly didn't fill me with confidence but he's been chucked in the deep end; new league, new language and new (struggling) team. I'm hoping it was a case of being ****ed when outpaced for the third because he looked like he was toreing a caravan!
