MansionBet Match Preview: Watford (A) Friday, February 12th 2021 All attentions now turn on the Sky Bet Championship, of which there are just 18 games to go starting with a trip to Vicarage Road. In association with City's Principal Partner MansionBet, we take a closer look at the match... It's full focus on the league for the Robins, after Wednesday's Emirates FA Cup exit at the hands of Sheffield United. The Premier League outfit did enough to control the game though City stood firm against the test until a VAR decision awarded the Blades an ultimately-decisive penalty in the tie. Alfie Mawson's red card for handball, despite being unable to get out of the flight of the ball as he tried to defend, meant it would be a frustrating evening under the Bramall Lane lights. Another away game follows just three days later as the Robins look to get their league campaign back on track at the home of Watford. Head Coach Dean Holden will be preparing his side to avoid what would be a fifth, straight defeat in all competitions. But there were positives this week with Holden keen to to see his team replicate a "performance full of heart" and be organised as a unit once more. Wednesday night also proved to be a club debut to remember for Academy graduate Ryley Towler, who impressed at left-back. Having been on the bench already this season, he could be in line for his league debut on Saturday. The reverse fixture at Ashton Gate has so far been City's only goalless draw of the campaign to date. The Hornets controlled possession in the first half back in November, but City went at them in the second half only to be denied by an in-form Ben Foster. Since then Watford have lost only four times in the Championship as they keep their play-off hopes alive by sitting fourth in the standings. As for the Robins, they join a mix of sides competing for the top six and remain just six points off AFC Bournemouth. Mawson has picked up a new, impact knee injury and so will not be available for Saturday's game. The Hornets are hopeful full-back Kiko Femenia will be fit after injury, while Dan Gosling and Isaac Success may return to first-team action MATCH DETAILS Where: Vicarage Road When: Saturday, February 13th, 3pm KO Competition: Sky Bet Championship Referee: John Brooks Assistants: Nick Greenhalgh and Akil Howson Fourth official: Craig Hicks please log in to view this image please log in to view this image ‘We always demand better’– Moore https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/we-always-demand-better-moore/ Dean Holden 'excited' but in need of change in results as Bristol City head to Watford Season sliding away in frustrating fashion for Robins supporters but result at Vicarage Road could spark upturn in form. please log in to view this image https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/dean-holden-excited-need-change-4997092
Watford vs Bristol City, Saturday 3pm Watford were disappointing at Coventry last week. They look less than the sum of their parts because they have some terrific players. They are a run of form away from the top two and are still in fourth, so it's too early for them to be worried. It's probably a good time to face Bristol City. They are in poor form and have all kinds of injury problems. Watford should have too much. Prutton predicts: 2-0 (Sky Bet odds)
It's a day of cliches, another day, another dollar, can't tell a book by it's covers, miracles can happen. I think we are heading for another defeat, I don't think Dean is going to be very excited tonight, I hope I'm wrong but it's looking tough, will RR be right, will we be looking for a new manager on Monday, I don't think so, on the other hand we might gain a victory, so hang on to your hats or eyebrows because you never know.

I agree, do you know I regard myself as quite an optimistic type person but I have never felt so hopeless, match days have always been magic to me, now they are pure misery, I still care but I think I will be in my little workshop this afternoon pissing about with a bit of wood.
I don’t know whether to spend £10 on this or not. I paid for the Cardiff game but switched off before the end to save my mental health.
I would think if his hamstring tightened on Wednesday probably best to give him a rest rather than play him and risk long term damage.
I suspect that you are correct on that one, that midfield could only be weaker if ODowda was playing in place of Lansbury, a grand total of 2 assists between the 3 of them all season. Lets hope Diedhiou can actually be arsed today.
We will do well to avoid the drop. The sacking of LJ, with the intention of progress.. wonder how many Sunderland fans will be moaning today
B*********KS JUST SWITCHED ON 2-0 clicked to see details and screen goes 3- 0 from hero to villain ….. think I switch OFF and go and do SOMETHING USEFUL …….
2 lucky deflections and a Vyner f*** up. Not the worst performance, could be a cricket score if we go too attacking tho.
