I think in spain each club has the right to sell their games/highlights to the tv company's. this benifits the big clubs and gives a disadvantage to the smaller clubs in la liga. i think the way th PL do it is a more fairer way as you get around 30million for upto 10 games and then if the tv companys want more of your clubs game they pay for each extra game
Tobester, I'm living near Freo, been in Aus for 40 years. Were you anywhere near the fires last week. For those not maybe up with the news here, we had the floods in Qld & further south, the cyclone in north Qld then last week a raging bushfire near Perth, about 70 homes destroyed - fortunately no injuries.
I agree the bigger clubs would get more money than the smaller ones but the smaller clubs fans want to see their team and would pay good money to see 90 minutes of their matches. At least now you can get full matches on the Hull City website for a small cost.
Sorry to post this so late - been reading about the Tiger support in Aus - I am living in Melbourne & can thoroughly recommend Tiger player (used to be Hull City World) - live audio + highlights etc - only about $70 for 12 months given the current exchange
I'm in Country Victoria 200Kms from Melbourne. I use http://hullcitylive.co.uk/ for the 'live' commentary although the commentators are absolutely pathetic. All Hull City message boards post the 'highlights/goals' which is much appreciated. Sky usually have the Championship highlights too and we get the odd couple of games telecast during the season - that was one thing I loved when we were in the Premier League. If there was a throw in near where my sons/grandsons/great-grandsons sat one of them would raise a sign saying "Hi Granddad" on it and they'd all wave like mad. There is also the ESPN 'livescore' site where you can click on the 'gamecast' and get a 'live' text commentary - which is better than the commentators on Hull City Live imo.
Tiger Roo - Hope u weren't near the floods - Country Vic is getting a hard time recently - if not drought then flood....who'd be a farmer......
I would like the right to watch my own club live in my own living room and give all the money to my own club, as it stands this is not possible. Until such a time I will Keep the faith, I will attend Hull City games and watch my team.
I'm in East Gippsland, well away from the floods thankfully but we do have a 'baby frog' infestation at the moment. The Cats are going barmy chasing them around when they get inside. Since the Banana plantations were wiped out in Queensland the remaining ones have tripled in price although the owners have been given permission to sell the ones that were grounded by the Cyclone. We have had a few bush fires so it has been chaotic in Vic just recently.
