Another weekend and we have to wait again for kick off, but only until Sunday this week. does anyone remember when every game kicked off at 3pm on Saturday?

Anyway I have just read a report compiled by Bettingodds.com all about profits and loss in transfer dealings. 2011/12 to 2019/20 so doesn't include this Summers signings or departures. It seems we sold players for £81.41m and spent £31m on new players so made a profit of £50.41m. This must have been Bates selling our best player every season so he could post a profit in the accounts every year. Even so obvious that the club has been raped for years of players like Snodgrass, Howson, Wood, Taylor, Delph, Byrom etc. Biggest loss was on Belusci as we paid £2.7m and let him go free.

Well as good as the above players were/are we still did some bad business and still have a few hanging around on loan and some we are still waiting to see if they make it:

    1. LDB is still hanging around we loaned him out to Zule Waregem to start without him even gaining regular starts. Sunderland, Oostende and Den Haag, He's now back in Belgium and playing regular and his contract ends this Summer.
    2. Edmondson did a decent job at Aberdeen and then got injured and came home. He went back after recovery and did nothing, and hardly played. He did score 2 goals and made 2 assists in the early days. We brought him back and sent him to Northampton but still waiting for his first goal and now the manager has been sacked so we wait and see what young Ryan is going to do.
    3. Kun was as good as Edmondson indeed probably better because he can play as a No10 too. He has been in Spain since the Summer and scoring goals. fingers crossed as he is a player Orta brought in from Barcelona.
    4. Mujica an Orta acquisition that he got from Barcelona but for free. It hasn't worked out for Rafa and the 3 loans in Spain have also failed due to new managers even though scoring 4 goals in 5 games, and a sale fell through last week. He is now playing in the Spanish 3rd tier for a 4th club and we still have another 2 years of contract so hope he does well and we can sell him.
    5. Stevens another young kid who actually got minutes for the first team under Bielsa but is struggling out on loan. Swindon he started well scoring a goal and 2 assists then a new manager never played him. We brought him back and sent him to BCFC but as yet not started.
    6. Gotts was sent to Lincoln but got hardly any minutes so we pulled him back and sent him to Salford where he seems to be player of the season so far. goals and assists, bright future for the lad.
    7. McCalmont is at Oldham under an idiot manager called Harry Kewill so appearances are up and down because there are limits to how many loan players can be used each game. He seems to be doing really well when selected though.
    8. Hosannah is at BCFC but out injured at the moment. He started on fire when he landed and was consistently the best player on the park, so fingers crossed for him.
    9. Bogusz is a player we had high hopes for and he seems to be doing really well in Spain and even scoring.
    10. Turner at Haverfordwest originally went on loan until Xmas but now extended until the end of the season. Fingers crossed but needs to go up a few levels if he's to make it.
We still have the bandit Ousin Bouy on the books until June and we finally managed to get rid of Grot a couple of weeks ago but had to do a deal to allow him to leave and sign for a German club.

Since Radz made the original mistake of asking Orta to buy quantity instead of quality, we seem to be doing really well in the transfer market. Hopefully Costa will sort himself out and Kiko who was free gets offloaded in the Summer, we are well in credit

Stevens started the last game for Bradford but was hooked after 70 minutes.

Edmondson created a hatful of chances in Northamptons last game and the local press were very happy with his performance. Hopefully the new manager sticks by him as I think Edmondson will be decent once he gets on a run. I don't think he will make it at Leeds but he has the potential to be a very solid striker for someone.

When Edmondson went to Aberdeen, they had no fit strikers, & that's the only reason he played. He played well, btw, but when the old hands returned to fitness, there was no place for him. I watched him & liked what I saw, but realised he just won't make it at Leeds. Sadly.

Always had very little time for Stevens. Had some tremendous games, and a lot of 'invisible' games - quite an achievement when playing Bielsaball. I've always thought he had something wrong in the mental side of his game. He won't play for Leeds again either.

Agreed with both points. I was blown away by Bogusz when he arrived but completely underwhelmed last season. Would love him to be the top top midfielder we hoped he would be, but.......... we brought in 2 Poles Klich followed by Miazek who was also going to be a great keeper but binned him in the Summer rather than give him a new contract. Bielsa obviously preferred Caprile then the new Dutch kid and Skerry. Miazek has just found himself a new club now but 2nd division stuff in Eastern Europe? So we know Klich made it after a loan will Bogusz I wonder

If the frogs go about it in their usual way, they'll probably blockade the courtroom & burn the jury! Then get pissed in readiness for their siesta.

Seeing how meticulous Bielsa is about the details I'd be very surprised if he hadn't considered every possible angle but, apparently, he's already had to pay out 300k.

Talking of contracts there's one player who'll be entering his final year this summer and it needs sorting asap.

Problem is it's now going to cost us a packet, which is why I'm surprised it wasn't sorted earlier.

Apparently he did the session on Zoom and was supposed to speak for 15mins..... 45 minutes later they had to cut him off ahahah. The lawyer he employed is one of the top sports contract legal minds in Latin America and even fatfwank cant say “we do that too”

I thought the contract talks were well under way. Can't remember where I heard that, though. Got a feeling that it was Bamford himself that declared it.

They could well be...probably would be looking for parity with Rodrigo though, or at least very close to it.

Otherwise the temptation might be to run his contract down and have a plethora of suitors lining up to sign him on a free.

I'm sure Bamford said in a podcast when asked about the contract, that he just leaves it to his agent, and that he has never refused to sign a contract his agent present him with

Agree with that and think he also said he had never been as happy at any club as he is at Leeds.

No fans to get on his back and groan when he misses a sitter. I honestly think no fans in the stadium is helping his game

Pretty good shout that but most of his goals have been away?but on the lack of fans thing I wonder what our points tally would be if we had fans in. I think we would have won more games, but maybe lost a couple of away games maybe. So would the points talky have been better?

Can't remember any fans getting on Bamford's back at ER...yes disappointment when a chance isn't taken but always a standing ovation when subbed off. There were murmurings of discontent amongst fans in the stands but more in conversation rather than anything audible on the pitch. By contrast someone like golden balls Eddie could do no wrong...yet he fooked off the 1st chance he had.

There was the incident with the cupped ear in front of the kop but seem to remember that was more about the online criticism.

The slatings on here though have been quite ridiculous at times and only serve as a reminder of how little some know about football <laugh>
