I'm handing the towel in jj. It's over Ashley is staying forever It's a sad day, but I think I've finally accepted as many other did months ago
He isn't. Takeover interest will pick up once the pandemic is over, or at least waning and we can see fans back in grounds. There'll then be a bit more security for prospective owners; a lot of NUFC revenue comes from matchday so there's absolutely zero point in acquiring the club at the moment. I've no doubt Staveley has always wanted to keep her oar in, hence the tidbits to folks like Kennedy and Caulkin, but the truth is PIF pulled out because of the uncertainty - the same uncertainty that exists today, Covid hasn't disappeared IIRC. Just relax. Bruce has got some help, the football's ok, we'll have key players back for the final few important matches and we're playing with a sense of purpose so unlikely to go down. Any takeover will follow the usual pattern of events you see at every takeover - mooted interest, couple of parties, a month or two of negotiation then a sale. All this clandestine behind closed doors nonsense just fits the narrative of many deluded fans that it'll somehow miraculously appear in spite of not one person, worldwide, willing to make a comment about it! As I've said repeatedly, there's simply no need to not express public interest in owning the club; in fact, it's in a buyers interest because the tidal wave of support could only ensure Ashley has nowhere to turn. I understand no comment about this (alleged) arbitration, but again the chances of it being about separation of state, or selling the club, are really minimal as this would be unprecedented. The issue with arbitration - if it's even going on - is that PIF isn't really separate, KSA did support piracy and so on. The PL may be saying "ok, those issues are being taken away, so if PIF want to re-submit an application we'll check it again". My issue is there isn't a new PIF application on the way, and the rumour that they're waiting for a clear pathway is coming from Staveley's camp, not PIF's. She's a bullshitter, unfortunately, nobody gets rich by being honest, upstanding citizens! Bottom line is nothing will happen until fans are back in grounds and the economy eases up. And when it does I'd imagine Peter Kenyon will be back, or Pallotta might want to try, with the loans and funding to acquire the club. You'll know about it because people will talk about it. Until a takeover is genuinely being discussed, and out in the open, assume there is no takeover.
It’s ok. It’s ok. Come here. There there it’s all good. Dry those eyes. Look at me everything is.... NOT going to be ok. This is the end of the club. Ashley’s won. No seriously. I’ve been on the fence from the start. I don’t believe in smoke and mirrors I like actual facts.
I have clung onto this too long and there's been nothing happening for ages. It was exciting for a short period, but it became apparent early on that something had gone wrong, then the PIF withdrawal finally came and since then what's really happened? **** all just some bread tweets and a few journalists claiming pif will come back if Ashley wins... If I've lost interest then that's saying something because I think the vast majority got bored 6 months ago.
I think they're just still init for the crack mate. I'm asking for people that genuinely believe nufc is going to become not ****
