A Your right. No doubt there will be a couple of them who are nufc fans but the real issue isn’t just a nufc one. Society itself has now got no boundaries when it comes to social media. If they where to say what they do on SM on the street they would get police intervention. Why not on social media. How is it that I can get a Twitter account and not have to put my personal details in so that if I do cause offence then it cannot be traced back. It’s all wrong. And it’s not freedom of speech. Freedom of speech does not include accepted abuse.
Wishing someone dead and making a death threat while different are equally ridiculous behaviour. Imagine someone telling you they wished your Pa was dead of Covid, you'd be ****ing apoplectic... Now we have NUFC fans playing the victim, going "they are tarnishing us all with the same brush" - Erm one club right? If its an NUFC fan its NUFC fans abuse, one spoils it for the rest... we don't have a separate Newcastle United for utter ****s so instead of trying to deflect the fanbase should be outing these idiots making sure they are never welcomed to SJP again reporting them to the social media companies, police and the club. Anyone trying to separate or play down the issue for me is as much a disgrace to the club as the pricks running their mouths. Social media needs to do it's bit and force people to register addresses/telephone numbers etc so they can be held accountable for their big mouths on social media. Half these pussies wouldn't pipe up if Bruce or his son were in front of them.
I disagree with some points on this mate. As far as I am concerned if they are spewing out that crap then as far as I am concerned they are not nufc fans. They take their own actions and they should be isolated and treated that way. Does that mean your a horse puncher because we are a collective? Nope. Your right though the issue needs addressing but it’s also not just football fans. It’s in every corner of the ****ty world that is social media. People can basically do what they want. Literally say what they want. There’s also a fine line. A sexy ass lady puts pictures of herself on Twitter with literally no clothes on then wonders why “men” post back with comments such as “nice bangers” or “aye aye” (look I know it’s a lot worse than that but I’m not being rude). What was she expecting. She putting them pictures up for to provoke a reaction. If she didn’t get any and no one posted she wouldn’t put the pictures up. But the line I refer to is when it gets to much. And as a result of no controls on social media then unfortunately you get idiots that can’t hold back. It’s mental!
You've got to hand it to Bruce he's a master as controlling the media. He's played a blinder here and tbh I don't blame him.. It needed saying and it shows how crap the Newcastle fans overall have been since he arrived..
I get what you are saying and tbh I haven't read or listened to the media reports about who said what but I've seen the tweets that people are suggesting caused this and they are outrageous. At the end of the day if it is a minority of NUFC fans what are they going to say? "NUFC fan's are doing this" - its not a lie is it? What is getting me is the plebs on SM saying Bruce has only put this out there for sympathy and they don't believe the tweets were sent (they were and proof has been made available - lots of it I must have seen 15-20 of the messages and that's only the ones we are seeing) or wishing death isn't a death threat - true I guess but still the act of cowardly scum who are tainting the reputation of the fan base. The difference with the horse puncher is it was one person - only one Dickhead McGee lets call him. Regardless of what you call the collective in this regards its going to be a group of Dickhead McGee Newcastle fans - bottom line is that is actuate. Now I haven't read the reports or listened to the interview and I'll retract this all if they have stated ALL nufc fans have been doing this because it's clearly a stupid minority of....say it with me now... Newcastle fans. The rest of the fan base should be throwing these grubby spotty little ****ers under the bus not crying about a bit of bad press because Steve and his family have had enough of the vile **** being thrown their way. If you don't like the mechanic who fixed your cars work - you call him out on it, leave a **** review or google, his facebook page or whatever but you don't message his kids wishing the dad dead.
Game.... Decision time?? 1. Bruce stays and a takeover happens at the end of 2022. 2. Bruce dies peacefully in his sleep and a takeover happens at the end of 2022. 3. Bruce is killed, horribly, outside St. James' and the takeover happens at end of this season. Choose wisely
Option 1 unless we can replace Bruce in "2/3" with the username of anyone else picking them, then I'd pick either...with no takeover as an option in both included.
Agree. I’ve said it before, there is no such thing as free speech. Speech comes with T and C’s. All social media accounts should be traceable and accountable.
Well, he shouldn’t be in your house whilst you’re at Pouchies. You have to wonder what he’s doing at your’s though.
There's no "collective" of fans, we're just individual people who happen to follow the same football team. How one person reacts is that, if Pouchie says something characteristically stupid, that's Pouchie being a nasty prick. I don't know why we need to all labour some blame. No ones life is threatened more in the Premier League than Mike Ashley's, btw. Nonsense has once again been blown out of proportion, btw, no one said ANYTHING to Bruce. It was vented out on social media by angry people and someone near Bruce read it. It wasn't a ****ing "threat," ffs, Neil Lennon got a bullet in the post. Bruce will live.
T Except that’s not Pouchy being a nasty prick, that’s just Pouchy being Pouchy...although he is a...
