Will he be the next Virgil Van Dijk, or the next Stephen Caulker, that is the question on every Saints fan’s lips.

He hasn't played in a long long time so he is going to take time to get up to speed.

Let’s hope he doesn’t try and clean out Traore in the 2nd minute and pick up a red card ...... :emoticon-0101-sadsm

When I suggested Salisu to start someone commented that there's a huge difference between looking good in training and delivering on match day. I thought at the time (and still do) it was a fair comment but thinking about it a bit more - there's probably not as great a difference when you're playing in empty stadiums. Yes, you don't have the physical challenges, but neither do you have the pressure of a crowd. Just a thought.

If he is playing, they must feel very confident in him, which is a good sign...

How bad was Salisu's condition when we signed him that it took till now for him to be considered fit! Did we miss a broken leg in the medical?

I think they only just found the leg 6 weeks ago, stitched it back on. All good now.

Like the Wolves' manager comment when asked about JWP's free kicks...You set up a wall to stop the ball going in the corner of the goal....then you pray<laugh>

May have been mentioned before...ho, hum.

Theres no way his absense has been purely down to fitness.

I know your comment is tongue-in-cheek, but we have our previously first choice back four fit now, so I think it's a very good sign.

Correct - though I’m pretty sure Ralph covered that in a press conference and Salish himself alluded to it in an interview. He’s definitely struggled to adapt to our climate. Ralph has said it takes quite some time to get people to understand all the ‘saints specific’ roles (the automisms ) in different phases of play.

Here's my dreamed up scenario for tonight, 0-0 and one minute left before added time,
Commentator: Free kick to the Saints 35 yds out, only one thing going to happen here as Ward-Prowse places the ball, here he comes, GOAL! SALISU! A DEBUT GOAL FOR SALISU! The expected free kick hit the bar, bounced back into play and there was a BULLET from SALISU into the net, what a debut he's had!!

Ok a bit of a wish, but seriously, if he puts on our shirt tonight he'll have all my best wishes for a successful match, I trust Ralph's judgement on him completely.
