Think a lot more sides are denying us space in behind than earlier in the season. We need to find another way to get through.

I think not having a designated sitter in the midfield and all 3 sharing the more defensive role at times made it look a bit more confused last night.

    It did, and he does.
Although last night Crowley wasn't played out wide (like he was previously)!
When Whyte and Alfie Jones are back fit, it is going to be interesting to see what McCann does then.
Square pegs, round holes or the necessary tough decisions

    I tend to agree.
But which 3 do you mean?
He plays with 2 defensive midfielders, and then 3 attacking midfielders (last night it was Emmanuel, Crowley and KLP). That makes 5.
Honeyman and Doc were in theory the defensive / holding midfielders, but as we know, they both tend to buzz all over.

I think two of the blocks were made by Magennis who got in the way.

The problem is Cowley is not forward or a wide player, he is more of a central play maker so who does he pick in that position Cowley or Honeyman?

The probing for space is overplayed. That goes for the intricate wing play too which delays getting the ball into where it needs to be, the penalty area. The finishing last night was shocking. I bet watching a training session is fun. Still, could be worse. Second in the league and stuttering but things can improve up front for sure.

That was what was so refreshing, and promising, from seeing Whyte play those couple of games.

The key thing for me, which gives me a little hope, is that when Emmanuel and Wilks were in tandem again, we looked much more threatening. I thought Wilks looked back on it last night too. Coyle generally plays ok, and may be a better technical full back than Emmanuel (although when he gets out of position he seems awfully exposed, whereas Emmanuel often manages to recover) but our strongest right-hand side is Emmanuel and Wilks (until Whyte is fit again). In my humble opinion, it's criminal not starting Emmanuel when fit, just as it's wrong to start Long ahead of Ingram.

This, absolutely, just like early in the season when we were winning games and scoring goals. How many times did Emmanuel get in the MOM top 3 for those first dozen or games? Lots I'd bet.

The adage is, if it ain't broke dont fix it..... but McCant seems to think he's Ranieri.....

Our best chances last night came when we lost the ball high up, counter pressed and won it back, it frustrates the fkin hell out of me that we aren't more aggressive, esp at home, when it comes to pressing. We've got the energy with our midfield and enough pace at the back to handle long balls, I want us to press high, put other teams under pressure, if they're good enough to pass it round us then fair play to them, but in L1 from what i've seen, not many are.

Most of the Hull ones will be free streams for members, some fans will pay to watch though. More will watch on illegal streams on streaming sites, facebook groups.
But it is fair indication that Hull City's membership numbers are dropping and will surely drop more if fans aren't admitted until next season.
