Ruptured patella tendon for Willis. That’s him done for 9 months I reckon. Poor lad won’t get a contract

From the squad. Drop Power and play Sanderson or the Onion. Drop Burge and Matthews and play Patterson.

If we are going to persist with 2 in the middle of the park, they must be mobile, or other teams will just walk through us. Leads is a good player, but only in a three. I was over the moon with the first team selection (apart from McLaughlin), and then it got changed. If the boss is going to persist with this system, he's got to stick 09 in there.

Don't know how long Flanagan is out for, but I'd play him at left back until Hume returns. He has played full back before in his career. With Willis out, we've got to have Sanderson and Wright in the middle of the back four, which is a shame because I wanted Sanderson at RB. I'd play McLaughlin at RB as there's no bugger else, as we must accommodate O'Nien in midfield.

Jones needs to play the full 90. Get McGeady to run his nads off for 55-60 minutes, then bring Diamond or Gooch on in his place.

Might as well give Patterson a chance. If he's good enough, he's old enough. Better to find out this season. Like Pickford before him, he has been getting good reviews, so let's try him. Let's face it, we've got nothing to lose now. We won't be relegated, so try a few things instead of sticking to a plan that is failing.

He should do based on performances. If KLD comes in then no reason why we should release one of the best CBs in the league who IMO could play at a higher level.

When Michael Vaughan became England captain, he told Duncan Fletcher that by the time of the 05 Ashes, he wanted no player in the side who had lost repeatedly to Australia. They didn't know how to win.

The same is true here. There is palpably no belief in the team, and without massive change we will make no progress.

Hard to think of even five you would regret losing.

Id offer Hume, O’Nien and Diamond new contracts and be done with the rest, personally.

Tricky decision for the club. We've been burned in the past by looking after players with injuries (McNair) but do we show some class by giving him an extra year to see?

I see what your saying but across the season they’ve all had a go and have all come up ****e. Maybe Dan Neil is the exception.

Patterson is 3rd choice and should be no where near the team.
