Yes it's grants fault that the players don't hit the target when easy opportunities drop to them, grant can be blamed for a lot of things, but some of the shooting/finishing from KLP and others tonight isn't one of those things
Drawing against the top team in the league isn't really a bad result. If we hadn't had such a dodgy run up to this game we would have probably taken the point and not complained. I think expectations might have been a bit too high tonight. Having said that the Coyle/Emmanuel thing down the right just didn't work and should have been stopped at half time. When it was changed and Wilks came on we looked a bit more dangerous. KLP was maybe trying too hard? We are too slow getting up the pitch, twists and turns in midfield (Crowley?) look pretty but it just lets the opposition get 9 men get back on the edge of the 18 yd box. Lincoln look good to me. They're organised, focused and direct. They can get the ball from defence to the edge of our box in half the number of passes we need to do the same, we **** about too much. I think McCann got it wrong, Emmanuel should have started at rb, Wilks should have started on the right.
Just watching the Doncaster game , Fleetwoods second by Madden was a mistake from the Doncaster left back
Not ripped up any trees so far. I for one ain't arguing with he selection or the subs tonight. Felt we edged it. Quite optimistic if they come at us a bit more at theirs we'll get behind and do them in the return fixture.
Doncaster won did they? 2-1 down with 5 mins to go currently. Drop which formation? 4-3-3 with the ball / 4-2-3-1 without it or the 4-3-1-2 we tried at times tonight? Sorry if it wasn't 'Mike Bassett' enough for you, but that wasn't a rigid 4-3-3 we played tonight.
