a few random observations The rules on reporting clinical [medical ] trial results changed a 'few' years back due to companies only presenting the best ones all must be reported now [ 'sauce' - my memory from something I read or was told] first year I got the flu jab I got the flu [second time] - so didn't bother for a few years as I thought 'what's the point' … until I had children and was out of it for a few days - logically I understand it does not prevent all strains its a best guess for that flu season & still have it every year if offered A friend who works in mental health team - back in the day [probably a Thursday] when they had drug reps round told me the tale of one of the latest 'antidepressants' that was being touted as [only a few] more % effective than a placebo in its grand claims … Medical companies are there to make money and promote 'their' product - you pay your money / taxes and make your choice I will have the vaccine when offered it on the balance of probability
Just had a quick squint at the latest figures, and we seem to be kicking the **** out of the bug locally, so I had a look at a few random areas. What the ****'s going on around Hatfield where the M18 hits the M180? It's from the map, which tends to be a bit out of date, but it's showing a rolling rate of 1,042.6. Hatfield East Seven days to 02 February 2021 Total cases 95 please log in to view this image 42 (79.2%) Rolling rate 1,042.6 https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/interactive-map
It's all those Kentish wallies attempting to escape the perils of the south for a safe haven up the A1/M1 in Yorkshire.
Haha, you're right I'd forgotten about that. I joined up, but never actually used it. This is the only place I need.
We can all get the south African variant even if you’ve had the original covid!! The new vaccine doesn’t protect you from the sth African strain So lock down forever ??
The South African study has its limitations (number and age of patients), so while it raises questions and concerns, I don’t think we’re at Corporal Jones levels of panic just yet. Scientists have said all along that one of the risks around a vaccination programme is the emergence of different mutations of the virus and the need to have boosters of some kind. We’re never going to eliminate this thing, but if we can get the levels down to the point that the NHS can cope then we can start working out how to live with this thing.
