Didn't have you down as that kinda guy but hey ho! Just out of interest, why's does it make him an idiot?
What's that matter to him? He isn't a hull fan or employee... As a neutral he said it was great as you never knew if we would win 1-0, 5-0,5-4 or lose by those scores...
But as a scout, with a knowledge of football, shouldnt he be thinking what a **** show this is? He’s not there for a laugh or to watch some entertainment is he. It’s his job.
Hence why it was his most enjoyable time watching us I'm guessing, it made the job he was there to do more interesting and challenging I would think,I'll ask him again when our paths next cross.... I'm not sure it's against the rules either for scouts to have a laugh and possibly be entertained whilst doing their jobs. I know when I do games I much prefer as a neutral to watch an entertaining game as opposed to a boring one. It doesn't mean I don't do the job im there to do
Back to the original point. Yep, I'd agree there are similarities between those 2 seasons i.e. probably the best squads in the division. But that's where the similarities end, especially any comparison between Bruce and McCan't (the difference could hardly be greater).
Plus, do we know whether we have space within the salary cap? We must be tight, we have a big squad that is mainly over 21 (is that the age threshold)?
We need a decent centre forward You could see yesterday potter can’t play there. I wouldn’t have signed Clark, I’d have given slater back. To try and create room for a forward. Needs must When he can say Fleming injured we need a lb then eaves has been injured for awhile and we need him replacing.
His problem is he thinks Crowley / Whyte replace eaves and give us enough options, which they clearly don't. We need experience up there. Clark is costing us almost nothing in the grand scheme of things and gives us some security back there. But Slater is a good point/call
It's looking that way. But good ones are like gold dust at all levels especially for the kind of money we can/will spend
Any one who’s played football could see we needed another forward especially after the Eaves injury. I would have taken a loan CF from the Premiership above everyone we signed in Jan.
Easier said then done, not many decent PREM loans will drop to L1. If they do they will be extremely young and extremely inexperienced. It would be a huge potentially expensive gamble and why not just give one of our youngsters that shot?
