Something tells me FIFA is a bit messed up, picked Newcastle, had to beat someone playing as Barca. Then had to beat someone playing as Spain. Surely they should be teams similar to mine?
I'm never using Newcastle in ranked matches, because Saylor on default is weak as piss. He's an 68 for jumping? He should be an 83/84 for jumping because he's excellent in the air. Not many strikers get the better of him in that aspect. He's also in the 60's for strength also, when again he should be around 83/84 for strength IMO. He's our 2nd strongest player behind Tiote in real life IMO.

The main reason I only play on career mode and avoid online is because of people who quit when they are losing. I'm average at FIFA because I have a job and other things to do, so when I do play I receive a number of hefty beatings, however I always play until the end of the game. Then, probably one every 5 games, i'll be winning and the twat who i'm playing will quit, so irritating. It's a video game FFS.
I've only had one person quit this year because if someone quits then the score at the time is just the FT result. Much better system. You can also set it so you only play people who finish 100% of games
Ah I didn't know that. As I say I rarely play it so am not particularly au fait with how to use preferences etc. I'm really struggling with the defending though, when you try and shepherd an opposing player you just seem to do a weird shimmy/crab dance alongside them as they waltz towards goal!
I hate the jockeying thing, dont get it at all and prefer to anticipate the players run myself anyway. The quitting thing was ridiculous on FIFA11 but they have a league system instead of points now, if you just change the Online Settings as you pick your team you should avoid quitters.
I shall do that. I know what you mean about the defending, I quite liked having to take a chance in anticipation of where a pass may go. I've changed it back to the old settings anyway. I like that they've made the manager mode harder, but on legendary it is nigh on impossible!

I want to do career mode, and i also want to get in the leaderboards and ****, but I'm sick of conceding goals because of Saylor. ****ing Gyan and blood SWP managed to out jump him in the air. I might just do career mode with my edits, but it means i can't get on the leaderboards on my friends list. W/E
Yeah, plus Taylor's under 25 so you can probably grow him. I've seen screen shots where Simpson has gone up to 77 or something and he's the same age.

I end up quitting every match whatever the score because the EA Servers are ****e This also means that I gain DNF or whatever meaning I earn less coins on UT
