Must be happy that neither of your teams lost tonight? ;)

Reckon you might need a new goal keeping coach. What ever he’s done to Pickford he’s now doing to Olsen too! Half decent keeper and you win the game

How **** must Henderson be in training if he can’t get ahead of de gea for united and Pickford for England! Poor guy. Would have been better off going out on loan

de Gea is living on his reputation from 3 or 4 years ago though tbf he has been decent so far this season.
**** knows how Pickford gets into the England squad, so many better keepers than him to choose from.

De Gea was dodgy when he first started for you, then he had a long period of consistently high performances and, like you say, built up a great rep. He's gone backwards over the last couple of seasons though, good one minute, awful the next.
Should have got big money for him when you could. :)
    Pickford is weirdly erratic.

TBH i am really pissed off that Romero has been totally ****ed over by us, Grant is now seen as above him in the pecking order and Romero surplus to requirements.
Well i have nothing against Grant but maybe that's because he has hardly played for us, Romero on the other hand has played quite a lot and i can honestly say he has never let us down. The man looks so laid back and confident in goal and commands the area better than de Gea, also has much better distribution.

He must have shagged someones daughter or spit in someones coffee, nothing else explains the situation.

Not seen the score, guessing you won?

I only saw their first (decent cross, good header and not much Everyon could have done to stop it) when I made that comment. Put it purely for you ;)

Their second was poor keeping though. Not seen anything else, wasn't really watching the game, was just on in the background.

Edit; 3-3, should have watched <laugh>

I think the general plan is to get Everton above you which is quite possible over the next few weeks with games in hand <ok>

Don’t agree about the second, I just think it was a sublime finish, the height and then dip he gets on that was incredible tbh. He’s some player, the rat faced little ****ing orc <grr> Keeper defo ****ed up for their 3rd though, seemed to catch his foot in the turf.

Nothing quite like a 95th minute, last kick of the game equaliser, especially there. Loved it. Massive result for us, from a confidence angle, keeps our excellent away record going.

In the cold light of day utd fans should be rwging they threw that away with such poor defending.

3 on target 3 goals for Everton is great but they shouldn't be very happy with the overall performance either.

Solskjaer tried defending it out there which wasn't too wise. Utd have benefitted from so many late slices of luck it was found to even itself out sometime.

A year ago we fold like a pack of cards and come away on the wrong end of a 4 or 5 nil pounding after that 2nd one goes in on the stroke of HT.

We showed some real spirit and played some decent attacking football to get back into that one. We’re a work in progress, but Carlo is doing a fine job imo, we’re getting there. To be sat where we are with games in hand, and with an away record that’s a match for the current best in the league, is a World away from where we were just 14 months ago.

One simple reason is Emilio Alverez. Coached De Gea at Athletico when he was excellent and in his prime with us. He left just under 2 years ago iirc.

Ole brought in Hartis, a goalie coach that's been with us before and with Ole at every club he's managed. Produced fck all in his career.

No surprise DDG has turned to ****. Or... it could just be the £375k a week.

Who was the last decent English goalie? Seaman and that was 20 years ago. I wouldn't have any of them atm.

Good explanation. Obviously I don't know all about your backroom staff, so that seems like it could be a major contributory factor at least.
There's a long line of English keepers who have a good season or two - usually at a mid or lower table team (where they get a lot of practice) then fizzle out a bit when they get higher up the food chain.
It'll be interesting to see how Henderson does when he inevitably ousts Dave from the no.1 spot.

IMO theres a huge difference in perception and expectation for these keepers like pope etc at midtable clubs.

We all see these guys diving about making a few saves and being heros while thier team loses 2-0 of whatever and nobody blinks. They can do a lot less in terms of being technically sound and still look great.

Step up to the real big club and you might get called on once or twice but you HAVE to be perfect. Its concentration and technique.

Nobody will bat an eyelid when someone palms a shot out into the middle of the goal. Oh its a great save. Or they can stay on thier line and the defence get blamed for not winning headers etc.

De gea is a "good" keeper . He does make saves but Utd can't rely on him when that shot comes in they need stopped that one time. That means he is not a great keeper. Few are.

this is why all these stupid new stats are meaningless. expected number of goal saved or whatever. They are not fact based but pure opinion pieces.

Agree, the step up seems beyond them. Maybe they don't get a decent chance either at the top clubs. And then the pressure of the media spotlight as soon as you look half decent and they can't wait to build you up and knock you down. Plus most are bang average.

I'm interested to see how Henderson does but jury's still out for me tbh. Time will tell.

    thats ridiculous.

"lets find a country to make LFC fly to even further away"

I would have said going to london would have been even more ridiculous but they could not find one solitary place to play the game that didn't allow a minimal risk fully tested game to go ahead that wasn't a 4 hour flight?

    I think not.

the sad thing is before the QF this will all go away and not be a problem for whoever goes through.

That was the designated neutral venue if a club was unable to host a game so i assume it automatically goes there unless that was ruled out for covid related issues .

and as for your last point i think you are far more optimistic than me if you think everything across Europe will be honk dory by then .
