Wouldn't surprise me in this day and age to be honest , nor would it concern me either, as anyone looking to buy it would hardly be doing so just to jog along comfortably would they? I'd be quite happy to be fair, if we were owned by someone like Samsung for instance, looking to boost their global branding by buying, developing and nurturing a top European football club in the EPL? Maybe thats SNQ's final goal, to deliver for us one of the biggest companies in the world owning the club and taking us from mere also rans in the EPL, right up to the European top table, as Man City have been able to do recently to great effect? Then again, I would be any less surprised if this was total hoss **** either.
Think you are right with the hoss **** bit mate can't see Ellis Short taking over as chairman just to sell the place. Everything has it's price though maybe the lotto winner is a Sunderland supporter.
Lotto winner?? they would have had to won the Euro millions about 5 times over. Can't see it myself unless its that Short is going to sell shares in the club to raise revenue, now that would be a very smart move to get round financial fair play.
Asamoah Gyan's new club Al-Ain's owner is the Sheikh of all Sheikhs so hopefully his move to them will of made him take abit of notice of us. I know there is quite a few who don't want us to ever go down the Manchester City route but if someone could say that if we had a team packed with world class players winning nearly everygame and in europe they would rather we we back to how we are now I would call them mad. I to would not be suprised if the club did get sold in the coming couple of years but I wonder how much for? Quinny and Drumaville bought the club from Bob Murray for 15m I wonder how much the club is worth now?
