The many positives of being seventh in League One have passed me by. We have had back to back poor results in the league. Two points against Gillingham and MK Dons is in no way shape or form good enough. Pretending they are is ridiculous
This. Our midfield needs to consist of lads who will run for 90 mins. Constantly win the ball back and just give it to the attacking players. We don't have room for passengers in midfield.
no stream or even commentary for me today so have no real 'constructive' comments to add but by the sounds of it the team performed pretty much as we have come to expect...we score then fall apart allowing the opposition to dictate the game at least up till half time. i am hoping the new players have been brought in to change that mind set and be able to pass the ball around, the pattern of hoofing the ball forwards simply invites them to keep attacking and growing in confidence and as we keep seeing mistakes in our defence, it leads to us conceding...we nainly need a strong, settled back four but we seem to be forced into a change every week, power is not a defender no matter how much he tries to fit. mcgeady always seems to want to run in, cut back and shoot...this is good to see when there are no other options (gooch also guilty of it) but when we have men in and around the box i would prefer to see them set someone else up rather than 'go for glory' as i feel a lot of canny chances get wasted. need to start guaranteeing home wins and turn these away draws into wins, get that bit extra confidence into the squad and finally get on that run we have needed for the past seasons.
In no world will any Sunderland fan convince me a point away to MK Dons is anything other than a poor result.
As in the last kick of the game sneaked. That said, I though LJ got it wrong and we paid the price today. There is no excuse for Burge btw. Absolutely shocking. Every other game he makes an error that leads to a goal.
Agree with Julio. There was no positives today. Performance was rather poor against a very poor league one side. Poor performance and poor result.
It shows how far we have fallen when people are pulling other people up for saying thats a poor result Dear me
Don’t think anyone thinks it’s good enough, it’s just not the end of the world and there are signs at the top end of the pitch that we can improve and turn draws into wins in the coming weeks.
The positives for me were another good team goal by Wyke, O'Nien scoring on his return and a point away while Hull lost at Burton. Not what I'd like but that was a game we could've won against a team who've lost 1 in 4. Any away point is a good point providing it's backed up by wins at home.
We're an above average league one team with the smell of a GM Vauxhall conference ownership still wafting through the corridors. I've made peace with that. That's why I'm not a huffy bastard anymore. Doesn't get to me like it used to. Hopefully, once the new owner gets their feet firmly under the table, and financial security is guaranteed, no matter what league we are in, then we can start looking upwards and I can become a huffy **** again.
For thinking we should be beating MK Dons? What this regime have done to the ambition of our fanbase is so sad
good with the ball crap off it, too weak, bottle it , Lee's signings not good enough, back to square one will we ever have a new owner ? not renewing untill we do, this seasons finished they kid themselves we win 3-0 so stick with he same team no he does a Parky, without Mcgeady being brought back we would have went down 3 decent players in this team, virtually no one else doing what he does.
N No. A draw away to a team who’ve picked up just a point less than us in their last 5 games isn’t a poor result in my eyes.
