1) He should not be talking in a public domain about a players private issue's 2) And he should not be using it to deflect from that shocking performance.
That really is a truly bizarre way to manage the situation. Again, the parallels with this time last season are chilling, McCann started saying weird stuff then IIRC.
Oh now it’s back to the Allams don’t want promotion! What a load of bollocks. Mcann is the cheap option?? I bet he’s on more thanJimmy is at Burton. No one and I repeat no one likes this formation. He won’t change it He’s tweaked it with Crowley and it doesn’t work. Wilks has family issues that explains his performances. But doesn’t explain why he keeps picking a kid who is clearly out of form and idea. It’s terrible to keep picking him he’s clearly not playing through it is he. to only use a few subs when we are that poor means questions should be asked. Emmanuels should have been in that team at half time. there needs to be a reaction from the players on Tuesday as they were ****e too, no matter what formation we played. get drubbed by Lincoln and he’s gone
Seriously, now the interview has played, what the **** is Grant doing bringing up Wilks having personal issues? You've used someone's personal issues as a ****ing diversion from the performance and YOUR lack of managerial ability. You did the same the KLP during the contract saga, so this isn't an accident. You absolute prick. Take some form of blame for ****ing once.
Just listened to McCann. **** me. Near speechless. Said it from the start, he's incredibly naive. He's also proved himself to be incompetent both on and off the pitch. FFS Allam get rid of him before its too late.
McCann couldn't get Peterborough promoted and got sacked after no wins in 7 for them. He couldn't get Doncaster promoted but apparently that made him qualified to manage us in the Championship. Both those clubs are doing much, much better now after he left them. He got us relegated from the Championship, finishing 24th and losing 8 - 0 to one of the other teams that got relegated. No other football club in the country would go 'aye, this guy is definitely the guy to get us back into the Championship'. He's utterly lacking in ambition or motivation.
I think at the Pirelli we were flat with an over inflated sense of how good we are whilst they were slick and we didn't know where to tread when under pressure. It punctured our hopes of an automatic promotion.
Grant is so ****ing lucky fans are not allowed in the grounds. The reactions would be Chernobyl levels of toxicity.
Smallwood getting injured today did not help, although Slater played reasonably well when he came on. I thought Emmanuel would have been a decent midfield option with his physicality against a big side like Burton. Would Eaves have made a difference I wonder, despite his lack of goals he does hold the ball up well on occasions allowing others to get into better scoring positions.
