Connor Ogilvie made his 150th appearance for Gillingham yesterday, he has been an outstanding player for the club. Unfortunately I don't expect him to get to 200 as there has already been interest from championship teams and I am sure that he could a job at that level.
Is it wrong to be looking forward to the day that we get to post about JM on here? Asking for a friend
****ing hell, you've really gone full on "JOSE OUT" with that avatar I've lost patience with him too tbh, though a part of me does still want him to come good. I've come to really like him as a bloke but he's digging a bigger ditch by the week from a managerial perspective.
Never wanted him but wanted him to succeed...and still do tbh...he is our manager after all...but think he is a dinosaur
Was never against him joining, said back when Poch was on the verge that we needed a big name manager to replace him with. Allegri was my preferred choice but you don't get a bigger name than Jose in management. Not sure he's even a dinosaur to be honest, he's just doing exactly what Poch done (who's seen as the new breed of manager) in that he's selecting the same players who are letting him - and us down - each week and seemingly doing nothing to rectify it. There's been spells of really good football but I think the poor squad management over the course of the season so far has resulted in some players' performances dropping and the good squad players aren't able to impact games because they're not as match fit as they should be due to getting little game time. Would be good if the club can help him out and pull a rabbit out the hat between now and 11pm tomorrow with one or two new signings who could perhaps help boost us but I never expected us to do much business this window due to the size of our squad and the fact we need to focus on binning players first.
Charlie Daniels making his debut for Pompey this evening. If he stays fit then that is a great signing for them.
Jonathan Woodgate update - after winning only 9 out of 41 games when manager at Middlesbrough, he has now been appointed temporary manager at Bournemouth following the sacking of Jason Tindall earlier today. Woodgate only joined the club on Monday as a temporary assistant coach.
The irony being that our tactics are somewhat similar, yet Soldado is benefitting more from them than Harry Kane has in the last couple of months...
