Just such a poor performance and let down, didn't go at them at pace, hold up play amongst forward line non existent. They got into shape quickly and we looked clueless how to break them down. Don't have that consistency to pressure other teams at the moment and others are taking advantage of it.

It's too easy to just blame Grant, this one was on the players too.

Said it once I'll say it again.... McCann out. Not based on this game, yeah it's a contributor, but the last 13 months of football has been in the main dire, turgid, predictable and hard to watch.

Not seen the game, been scouting at another one today....so aren't going to comment on it until I've seen as much as I can of it and read back over the thread.

I'll hold my hands up and say Quill on the face of it you where right so I apologise..... Still think your delivery could be better though ;)

Now for a nice drive home in the **** weather!

How much longer do you give him to get it right then? Another season or two?

The squad's only as good as it's leader. The buck stops with him. Poor individual performances by certain players play a part but a different manager, a better manager, would be taking players like Wilks aside in training and saying 'you've clearly got talent but you need to work on your touch, ball control, dribbling, decision-making etc. and if your form doesn't improve, I'll give other lads a start'. That's clearly not happening, otherwise Wilks wouldn't be starting every week despite being poor for the past few games. Good managers and good training staff will take raw talent and refine it but players like Wilks and Scott will end up like Cameron Stewart if they don't improve on the weak parts of their game, and management is a huge factor in that.

McCann has had long enough now. I didn’t like him for his diabolical performances last season. This season is beginning to follow a familiar pattern.

Or maybe like last season, they have finally decided this is the worst manger they have ever played under. An under achiever as player who is trying to bring them down to his level..

We have a manager who has never got any team promoted from any division & owners who will never sack him as they have no ambition for the club other than to remain solvent so they can continue to take millions out in interest payments on the loan from Allamhouse. McCann is a poor manager & any other owner would have sacked him immediately after taking City down with 1 win from our final 20 games. The Allams went for the cheapest option when employing McCann as milking Hull City dry has been their only plan from day 1.

Ok so we have had a couple of injuries, but anyone else think the squad seems weaker now than a couple of months ago? I thought the squad depth compared to others would see us get promotion, but not so sure now, we seem to have ****ed that up too.

If it isn't affecting his play... then why have you just put that out in the open, Grant?

It probably will ****ing affect his play now.

You ****ing arse. That's the second time you've thrown one of your players to the wolves in place of yourself, after KLP.

I should add, the buck stops with McCann with regards to what happens on the pitch. Regarding the club in general, it stops with the Allams but as others have said, anyone who wanted to see this club succeed and bounce back from League 1 would've kicked McCann out on his arse after the Wigan game last season. They don't. They're don't give a **** about the football, whether we stay in League 1 or get promoted, they just want to milk the club dry.

That's actually ****ing low by McCann. The only reason to mention it at all to the media is if Wilks was left out of the matchday squad and if asked just say 'he's been given compassionate leave due to a family-related issue'.

Don't play him if his head's not in the right place and then bring it up after he plays poorly to deflect from the piss-poor performance in general.

The guy will never take any responsibility for our poor performances.

Got to admit I was moaning constantly about him, my daughter said he might have some personal problems so I said well if he has, his mind isn't on the game he shouldn't be playing. Obviously we don't know what his problems are and I hope he gets them sorted, maybe he needs to be away from it all for a while. It's deffinately affecting his game. Just hope it's something he can get sorted.

The players looked jaded and unmotivated to me. I know they've been playing a lot of football this season but so has everyone else. It's up to McCann to get the side playing a system they can belueve in and it's up to him to motivate them. He's doing neither of those things.

Probably as popular as McCann at the minute.
