Not sure I agree . At 3-2 with 40 minutes against ten men and twenty against nine and an inability to create decent chances has cost us. Manu utd opened us up at will when we had nine players.

Happy to have many players get minutes under their belts and like Armstrong, Ings will take a while to get back to his best after Coronavirus.

**** day at the office that. Very rare you will find me criticise Ralph but 2 points to note:

    1. As much as I love Ralph and appreciate that we were playing United - let that be a lesson on how to play with 9/10 men. Defend defend defend - 2 banks of 4 and counter if/when possible.

    2. I know we have a depleted squad but why have Djenepo on the bench and not bring him on when playing against 9/10 men. Waited til the 81st minute before making a sub - that was really poor.

You won't find me panicking as we are likely finishing mid table regardless - alsp should go eithout saying that Ralph should have 100% backing from the fans still. I just hope the day comes when Ralph is our manager and has at least a moderate budget to improve our squad.

Thing is, there are no rules telling people to come on a forum when win obviously, but you do seem to like a defeat to get the juices flowing.

Yeah, perhaps underestimating how much of a difference it makes him not being on his A game. He was scoring out of nothing. Mind you, others struggling for form.
Redmond is dreadful at the moment unfortunately, not sure what is going on there. Can't be arsed to be arsed. Think we will turn it around. We usually do.

Too right mate. I'm bloody thrilled that we couldn't even score against 9 men. Absolutely elated.

The only vaguely amusing side to this sorry debacle is watching the happy clappers tie themselves in knots explaining how when we lose 9-0 its definitely not Ralphs fault, its down to us only having 9 men, yet not beating or even drawing against 9 men the very next game.

But keep praying at the holy church of Ralph. The only manager in the Premier league he can do no wrong.

    5 losses on the bounce
12 goals conceded in 2 games

Everything is fine, or "we march on" Its unbelievable

I would like to double like this, but would cut Redmond a little bit of slack

This was definitely the wrong game to have Armstrong missing.
The one player who regularly turns past his marker and by doing so creates space as he draws defenders to him.
The game was crying out for someone to do that.
I hope we target someone in the next transfer window who can do that, to complement him, because we have struggled for a long time to break down defences and score from open play.
    And someone who can cross.

The lack of subs was very odd imo.

I think is is incredible that we still haven't replaced Matty Targett and bought a RB that could replace KWP, it is costing us as the balance is all cocked up when either FB doesn't play.

So you’re ignoring the part where everybody has said that this has been a pretty awful week all round, okay.

Do you think he should be sacked?

Again in hindsight N’Lundulu was the wrong sub (obviously we could’ve made more). Should’ve brought Djenepo on for a defender then and moved Minamino inside, he looks more like a number 10/Armstrong type so could’ve potentially influenced the game a bit more than just having another striker on

Ralph stays all day long. But does need to work on our temp against ten men. We are fàaaasssr too slow in moving the ball and pulling the opposition out of position. They sit back and we are totally inept in creating chances. I think the keeper made one good block from Vesty and that was it. Not good enough against nine nen

Yep, Armstrong not the most elegant player, but he is bloody effective, and pretty consistent.

If this was one game from Redmond, I'd agree.

But it's been all season. He's been utterly dreadful. It's been boiling up with me for a while, and today I've snapped. He's just seen us sign someone who is direct competition for his position. He's just seen that player go and score a wonderful goal. He's playing against one of the weakest teams in the division. Who then went down to 10. Who then went down to 9. Surely he should be fighting tooth and nail to try keep his place, given that he wouldn't have even been starting had Theo or Armstrong been fit. But no, instead he produces...that.

Anyone could see on screen how awful the ground conditions were, and yet I lost count how many passes were under hit. Alex’s was the worst example but there were plenty of other examples.

Going forward, I expect to see Salisu alongside Vesty in the Wolves cup game. If he does OK keep him in as Bednarek needs a rest. Ramsay surely couldn’t do worse than Stephens if KWP isn’t ready, and hopefully Armstrong replaces Redmond.

He’s done it his whole career, I remember Norwich fans saying it when we signed him. Flatters to deceive, he’s been playing first team football for a decade now having broken through at Birmingham at 16. Obviously has ability but never seems to do it consistently enough

Like Magic pointed out, the pitch today wasn't conducive to players running directly at defenders which is a large part of Redder's game although I would agree that he hasn't shown his best form at all yet this season and probably wouldn't have played if Stuey or Theo were fit.
